January Transfer Window Rumours 10:51 - Dec 30 with 150444 views | numptydumpty | What we have got. What we need. And what we can afford. My personal view. No one to sell currently. Our saleable assets are at their lowest valuations currently given recent form. Others will know contract situations and wages. Etc. I understand there is zero money to spend. Am personally expecting three or four loanees, at least one striker, one full back, and one centre midfielder in Johansen style. No signings though. Bonne, Thomas, Nico and possibly Roberts - I would try to loan back, loan elsewhere or sell. Shodipo I think if someone on a par or better is available likely attempt be loaned out. It's though a notoriously quiet window so could perhaps only be two or three deals done and if we can't get certain players off our books , be it temporarily or permanently, I feel sadly the replacements will not be incoming !! The comments well we need two strikers that can put ball in back of the net !! Pure genius insight !! Money talks. Hopefully Critchley has his own contacts and we shall see... Crikey - apologies for crappy post - happy new year Rangers joys and girls !!! [Post edited 30 Dec 2022 11:02]

January Transfer Window Rumours on 12:30 - Jan 7 with 5361 views | Third_Division_South | Looks like we won’t be signing Malcolm Ebiowei. Hull are apparently prepared to pay his full wages to be sure they get him on loan
January Transfer Window Rumours on 10:23 - Jan 8 with 4831 views | DejR_vu | If we can only get one player in, make sure it’s a nasty b@stard, who has standards, and will kick some arses and not accept what’s going on. If those running the club won’t put it right NC is going to have to do it the hard way

Oh well, some will go into full no Jamie Paterson Armageddon mode if this is the case but we have Richards who looks like he could do a job high and wide. Get him fit and starting games. I am starting to feel like it matters little who we sign this season, I just can’t see this current group sustaining any sort of form that leads to the play offs. We need another striker to ensure we don’t dance too close to relegation as stranger things have happens. I wouldn’t be against bringing Kelman back but that is a bit risky. Get JCS and Stef back in the side, probably Balogun, and play our own as much as possible for the rest of the games and start to plan for next season. The one exception is Laird because he is so far ahead of Kakay, but if players are unlikely to be here next season, then use them from the bench if we need to at all. [Post edited 8 Jan 2023 12:01]

Sounds like a very practical and sensible approach to me.

Great, another striker who doesn't score much with a penchant for missing the odd sitter.

I'm surprised this rumour got as much traction as it did - Hull have been very confident and talking publicly about this deal since the window opened. Maybe we know something they don't.

Bearing in mind Sir Les came from Hayes Utd, how about Lee Ndlovu from Borehamwood (A Big Strong BarSteward who scored on Sat in the FA Cup ) I reckon 300k plus a pre-season game there in the summer could do it. [Post edited 9 Jan 2023 12:23]

Rangers message boards are convinced Dykes is off to them.

IF, and it is an enormous “IF”, he can be signed within our salary bracket, that’s not a bad deal. If we’re paying a big salary for him, and stretching ourselves, it feels like a bad (lazy) decision.

January Transfer Window Rumours on 13:12 - Jan 9 with 3635 views | aston_hoop | For those who want delusion, I know a Wigan fan who, like the other 23 Championship teams, are convinced the answer to their problems is to sign a striker who will score goals. Because its that easy. He wants Mac Bonne

He’s handy at that level for sure. Seems to have a bit of everything but he’s 28 (not Finnish, he’s 28).

Frankly, if Grangers are serious, we should demand a sizeable premium.
