I could never work out why Derby hoofed the ball into touch at the end there instead of trying to keep possession (like they weren’t trying to run down the clock). It would seem somewhat self-evident that if playing against a team without a dedicated goalkeeper, you'd be likely to score more goals. Likewise you'd tend to think that not missing chances would be key to scoring goals. |  |
