Evidently it is environmentally friendly and made from recycled plastic bottles and itself can then be recycled. Of course this is to be applauded until you then look at the sponsors name and what industry they are in! 😂 I hope it’s their year to prop up the table. | |

It's actually to do with climate change...... each stripe represents a year since Reading were formed indicating if the average temperature was hotter (red stripes) or cooler (blue stripes) than average....... It's a worthy thing to highlight and shouldn't be dismissed out of hand, although it would look better on a plain shirt rather than one with narrow horizontal stripes.....

To go for the noble cause on the sleeves is a nice touch although a little garish, but then to have a car leasing company as your sponsor is a massive own goal.

It looks like they outsourced the sleeve design to Paul Smith.

Not really, at the time I think the general consensus on this board that the shirt was shÃt. Thankfully we ditched Nike as soon as we could and since then kits have been pretty decent, well the home ones anyway. | |

Of course being Reading they didn’t.
