country or coast. on 23:26 - Jul 19 with 1098 views | Benny_the_Ball | On days like today the coast is a god send. Sea breeze, lower temperatures, less humidity. There are spots where you and your wife can have it all. I lived in Hove for a spell; 1 minute walk to the beach, 10 minutes drive to the Sussex countryside. Hove itself has all the amenities one could need and on those rare occasions where it was lacking, Brighton city centre was a 5 minute bus ride away. Regular trains to London Victoria make LR reachable within 90 minutes. Sadly I didn't stay as the daily commute to London for work was tiring but I will consider it on my retirement hitlist when my time comes. [Post edited 19 Jul 2022 23:29]

In east sussex anyway most people live on the coast and inland there is a lot of space. But you can still get to the coast and to London. As a good all rounder I thoroughly recommend it

If you love the Italian lakes, you will be in your element at this agriturismo: http://www.latesa.it/en/ It's a ranch and you can camp there, stay in the main house in a room or even have a self-catering suite. There's a swimming pool, lots of space and great food, often served outside. Best of all, it is half way up a mountain overlooking Lago d'Iseo. Wonderful in the day, spectacular at night, and all quite cheap as I recall. The owners were very kind too, they even gave us a present and a card when they discovered it was our wedding anniversary.
| "Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1." |
