Glastonbury So Far 09:02 - Jun 25 with 2012 viewsSaintNick

I have watched some of it on telly.

1. Jesus & Mary Chain, really enjoyed them watched that one live

2. Primal Scream watched a bit of that as well live

3. Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, only saw a few bits but looked good.

4. Idles, again only fleeting bits but they looked good

5. Sleaford mods, watched that on catch up, but very enjoyable

Saw the Robert Plant clip and a bit of Wolf Alice. Looking forward to McCartney tonight. Still going at 80, wow! Watched a bit of Billie Eilish last night but turned it off after a few numbers. Probably getting a bit old for some of these acts now, it all sounds the same. Mrs SOG likes Sam Fender so we watched some of that but again, nothing original there. It is an amazing event but has become a corporate “go to” event in the summer season like Wimbledon.

More money in the bank.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

BBC’s coverage on the iPlayer has been brilliant.

Is Jeremy Corbyn on?

Thankfully no.
He’s made his money and stepped out of the limelight.
Greta won’t be far off.
She’ll be retired by her 21st birthday.
Fair play to her.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Your comment about the corporatisation of the thing is right. As an old Glastonbury regular (first one was 1977) I can’t watch the pyramid stage without getting angry at that corporate fenced off area right at the front. Wtf is that all about? Glastonbury was always where everyone was the same no matter where you came from or how rich/ poor you were.

That time when cringeworthy Stormzy got the Home Counties Sebastians and Helenas
singing Corbyn’s name was one of the funniest things I’ve seen at a concert

It’s a shame. I worked there in 2000 with The Guardian. Michael and Emily Eavis both still had a hippy mentality and would only get involved with “ethical” companies and organisations. I am not sure how that sits with the whole corporate thing? It must be a logistical nightmare to put it all together and needs to be financed. I wonder how much the BBC pay for exclusive coverage?

Missed them which is a shame but will look for them on catch up. High Flying Birds were good, but McCartney, OMG, 80 years old and what a show. I was in tears when he played Something and in floods when he duetted with Lennon. Throw in Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen… wow. His voice may be going but what an absolute legend. What a glorious career this guy has had and to still go out and deliver on stage when many of his age are on drip feeds…legend.

Two and a half hours! We should be so fit at that age…

May I refer you Glastonbury lot to Monty Python's Youtube sketch 'The Band is Breaking Up'.
That illustrates just how stupid you all sound.

Don’t worry, the new kit will be launched soon and we can all concentrate on arguing how crap that is 😉
