Latest Odds on my Dream Manager; in age order;

Nuno Espírito Santo, 48......... 22/1
Kenny Jackett, 60.... .... 25/1
Óscar Tabárez, 75......... 28/1
Leo Beenhakker, 79. ........ 33/1
Helmut Schön, 80......... 40/1
César Luis Menotti, 83. ...........50/1
Enzo Bearzot, Deceased..... ... 66/1

I'd give my collection of Jack horner and dirk diggler vintage flared polyester pornography to see Schon's Erich Honecker Stasi Raincoat in the dug-out.

Same for Bearzots' martin chuzzelwit briar pipe which he'd use to point out to Claudio Gentile, the excact spot to incapacitate Aleksandar Mitrović with a surgical strike to the gooch.

Menotti would be fun. Imagine a sealed perspex cabin next to the dugouts, quickly fogging up with smoke as the game progresses, with Menotti holding up scribbled notes against the screen to get his instructions across. More than five minutes of injury time might asphyxiate him.

Having somebody lined up is sensible but imagine the melt down on this site if it was made known that the board were looking for a new manager a month or so ago while Warburton was still in charge.

For some reason Mr Sheen, i think it was Gitanes fags?.

anyway, Think Brian Clough And John Robertson, then Think César Luis Menotti and René Houseman. History repeating.

Man, Menotti was more suave than Dean Stockwell in 'Blue Velvet'

Gitanes was the only way to keep the women off him. Powerful repellent.

In 10 years the suits have made seven permanent managerial appointments, of which six were rubbish. The club’s record prior to that was equally poor.

Therefore, to think QPR will make a second successive good appointment is based on unfounded hope as opposed to historical or recent precedent.

Unless there’s been shenanigans going on that we don’t know about, I fear we’re back to a self-inflicted period of showing the world how deft we are putting the ‘oops’ in Hoops!

Not sure ‘the suits’ have made any more than one appointment (warburton) to be fair… it’s always been meddling from the shareholders prior.

On that basis, I would argue that our exec team have a good record.

Ian Evatt could be good. Has done well at both barrow and Bolton. Heard him on The Tifo Football podcast and clearly has a real vision for positive, attacking football. Definitely want a manager on the up.

Micheal Beale(Brains behind Gerrard at Villa & Rangers)
James Rowbury
Ian Evatt

Ultimately I would love it to be an up and coming manager that looks at us as a bigger club and a step up, so someone ambitious. As i think i have said on another thread I would like it to be a researched and intelligent acquisition, who matches our philosophy.

Newport manager James Rowberry has gone from 21/1 to 3/1 to become the next QPR manager.

He’s currently sat 11th in league 2.

edit.Now into 2/1.

Not seen Newport play under him but I wouldn't be opposed to him, looks like the managerial equivalent to the type of players we're trying to sign/develop.

I'd be well happy with Daniel Farke.

The rest of the shortlist , Bar Dyche, on Skybet looks worse than the Ronnie Kray 4am Meatrack selection outside the Piccadilly Boots .

Michael Appleton now available after leaving Lincoln City. Should be right in our budget.

Dave Mc I think had said that replacing Warbs had been on the cards for a while, so my feeling is that someone is already lined up. If it was someone already in a job somewhere in the UK, I'd be amazed if there hadn't been a little leak of that by now, from the other side of the deal if not from ours.

If the owners (existing or new) are going to fund a serious push next season, it seems unlikely to me that they'll look to an up and coming manager to front it. Even Bielsa didn't manage to get Leeds up in his first season, and he had plenty of resource available.

Our form dipped from February onwards. Daniel Farke left his job in Russia in nearly March and is still available. Proven track record of getting out of this league. I’m increasingly of the opinion that it’s going to be Farke.
