It seems that to try and stay in the Premier League once Laudrup left we had to pay ever higher transfer fees and ever higher wages to players who warranted neither. |
We didn't have to pay ever higher wages and transfer fees. If we'd bothered trying to get the player recruitment side right there's a decent chance we could have continued to find the bargains.
Instead we chose to just start splashing the cash, throwing millions at players we had no idea how to use. The biggest mistake the Americans made was leaving Jenkins in charge of it. |  |

Whilst I agree with all that’s published, the total wage bill of 99M is the wages of everyone, in Swansea City using the figures bandied about what players wages actually are, the first team squad of 26 couldn’t possibly be more than 53M its the massive increase on non players wages that escalated beyond on proportion form 2015-2017, the players (first team squad) is now nearer 10M, yet non disclosure on other wages is very alarming. The fans and Trust want these answers, it would seem their lack of knowledge, have ensured that these said investors are completely incompetent |  |

369 employees during the accounts period (264 football, 18 admin, 75 commercial, 12 media) - Almost the same as year previous (362)
We bought Llorente, Baston, Mawson and Fer in the summer. Carroll, Olsson, Narsingh and Jordan Ayew in January. Sold Andre Ayew, Williams, Paloschi and Eder. There were already a lot of players coming in/out on loan that we weren't getting value for. |  | | |
