Elokobi has announced he is now a free agent as he can't agree terms with the club. Another part of last season's defence departs, but this time it is one who wanted to stay.
His return from Braintree was a significant factor in our improvement last season. George gave 100%, no matter what. He was a leader by example and we are not blessed with many of those so he will be missed. A mistake by the club in my opinion. | |

Yes I am disappointed to see George go and Richard Brindley (especially as we only discovered towards the end of last season what a great free kick he can deliver).
Returning to Big George, it is difficult to imagine that he could play any better than he did last season. George is 31 now but could still play well at league two level. Sadly our inability to secure promotion to league one has made a big difference to just who we can secure and who we can retain.
Definitely need another striker.

Looks like a decent lineup to me although I can't see Prosser not starting and I don't think Kent and James will play together, not initially anyway. Lapslie seems to be a favourite with McGreal so maybe Johnstone on the bench with Guthrie leading the line and Szmodics in behind. Got a few options there, just need them to stay injury free. |  |
