It's finals night at Norden Bowling club, Trinity Street on Saturday 27th June at 5pm.
Much effort as gone into reviving this prestigious competition by a few dedicated individuals. The comp as been in the wilderness for a few years now.
It is in memory of the late John Eccles, one of the towns finest crown green bowlers who went on to win the Waterloo handicap but sadly died of cancer.
The event as been run over 4 nights this week reaching 8 qualifiers (all local bowlers) to play down to a winner on Saturday.
This is also a charity event for 3 fantastic charities: McMillan nurses, Springhill hospice and The Christie. Your support would be most welcome.
If you have any interest in bowling or not this should be a great evenings entertainment for a quid entrance fee.
Refreshments are available and the bar will be open. Weather forecast also looks good !!
