Refwatch Preview: Port Vale (a) Monday, 5th Nov 2012 21:16 by TVOS Experienced Football League official Andy Woolmer is the man in charge when Dale make the trip to Port Vale on Tuesday. Mr Woolmer has been a regular performer at Dale fixtures since he joined the league list in 2004 and this will be the eleventh time we have seen him in the middle. We last saw him a year ago at MK Dons, where Dale took an early lead through Brian Barry-Murphy’s fluke free-kick, which Steve Eyre tried to claim the team practiced in training. However, it seems they didn’t practice much else as we conceded three times before half-time to lose 3-1. In September 2010, Andy was in charge of a game that brings back more pleasant memories for Dale fans. He was the man in the middle for the famous 2-0 win at Southampton, which is undoubtedly the best-ever league result achieved by any Rochdale side Andy’s full Dale record is: 4 Sep 04 Grimsby (a), W 1-0 28 Mar 05 Wycombe (h), D 1-1 27 Sep 05 Oxford U (h), L 0-1 6 Oct 06 Darlington (a), W 5-0 9 Feb 08 Lincoln (a), L 1-2 24 Mar 08 Rotherham (h), W 4-1 27 Jan 09 Notts Co (h), W 3-0 12 Dec 09 Lincoln C (a), W 3-1 4 Sep 10 Southampton (a), W2-0 5 Nov 11 MK Dons (a), L 1-3 Before the weekend, when he was due at the Gillingham v Scunthorpe FA Cup tie, Andy has refereed 10 games this season, showing 21 yellow cards and one red.
