No way will Placheta improve to the required performance levels if we are to be a club with any sort of ambition. Has pace but purely in a straight line and massively limited technically. Lazy is he is on the books come next season. |

Stunned at the news. RIP to the great JPR. One of the few that didn’t really need a surname. |

Will come up with a list asap but surprised Sonny Liston isn’t getting many mentions in a top 10? |

He was in the year 6 and under piano competition on Monday morning. He’s still buzzing about it :) |

Proud post alert. Spent Monday at the Eisteddfod and it was actually a great day. Far, far better than I thought it would be. Good atmosphere and a big crowd. Proud due to fact my son was runner up in the event he was competing in. Naturally he is chuffed to bits. Some serious talent there in some of the events. |

Not too comfortable with this one. Totally understand the assistance the UK has given so far but this is a step too far for me. |
| Forum Reply | Marvin Hagler v John Mugabe at 20:16 8 Mar 2023
This was a brilliant fight. Mugabi was literally a beast though probably at his best at 154. This was the fight where Hagler definitely began to look beyond his peak. Great fight though and Hagler is one of my all time favourites. I still can’t quite believe that he’s no longer with us. |
| Forum Reply | Will Russia invade Ukraine? at 20:29 25 Dec 2021
The Russians do indeed have the greatest defensive systems in the world. It is superior to what the USA have in that department. Air power wise the US are streets ahead. If it ever came to lobbing nuclear weapons then there will simply be no winner. |
| Forum Reply | Roy Jones Jnr v Tyson at 18:57 25 Nov 2020
Jones was so far past his prime. Joe was also on the slide but was far too fresh for Jones. A prime Jones would have been levels above Calzaghe. At 168 or 175. Same with a prime Hopkins. I say that as a Calzaghe fan. |

So it's unfair to pick on him but then he's described as dreadful? |

Was kicking off at Ogmore tonight by all accounts. |

These footballers who are said to be injured so don’t play for months before moving on. I’ve always wondered what happens when they go out of the house during this period. Do they wander round with massively fake limps for weeks?! |
| Forum Reply | Cummings at 17:09 24 May 2020
Guess I’m incredibly naive! What a ridiculous man we have in charge. Cummings or Boris.... |
| Forum Reply | Cummings at 16:54 24 May 2020
I hope I’m right and he says that Cummings has resigned or been fired. Surely the PM realises he can’t use the next half hour to back the man. Maybe I’m being incredibly naive! |
| Forum Reply | Cummings at 16:32 24 May 2020
I’m actually thinking the PM will use this briefing to announce that Cummings has gone and that he was sacked..... Either way, I’m hoping he gets the boot. Having said that, even if he is fired surely he can still work away in the background? |

RIP to someone who has clearly been held in very high regard by us all. Thinking of you and all those close to you this evening. Sleep well, YJB. |
