What we do know about the last government regarding donations/ gifts is bad enough and worse than anything Starmer has accepted. Have the Tories paid back the donations from the racist fella yet that they still received until shortly before the election? None of this should be ok. |

You're clearly an antisemite, as demonstrated by many of your posts. That particular post isn't necessarily antisemitic but is sailing very close to the wind. I genuinely don't think you get it. Anybody can criticise the acts of Israel without being antisemitic, I acknowledge their right to self defence but their actions are far too extreme, particularly in Gaza. Iran are fair game I my opinion. What Israel are doing is not like the holocaust, any comparison, even skirting around it by using "national socialism" instead of Nazi is massively antisemitic. How can you justify support for an invasion of Ukraine but not treat the actions of Israel similarly? I support neither, both are wrong to some extent. Antisemitism is not judging other countries similar to Israel. You don't, you're antisemitic. They've been attacked, they can respond. I haven't responded to you for a while, because you're not worth it. But this is a serious situation. Cut the wind up, it's making you look like a thick idiot. |

No the EAF wouldn't. But there are also advanced plans for a sustainable aviation fuel plant on the current TATA site and a manufacturing / maintenance hub for floating offshore wind turbines. And on top of this the entire area is designated a Freeport. A lot of this is still up in the air, but it's not all bad news. In fact It could be a significant improvement. |

There is huge investment planned in Port Talbot - IF it happens it will see an increase in the number of well paid jobs available. |

It's the biggest and most open consultation you can get. It was also in Plaid's manifesto. If we had further consultations and referenda on every thing a government put in it's manifesto nothing would get done. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-politics-56676066 The points weren't even hidden, they were on the BBC key points article. I'd agree that should be the case. I'd also like to see a general election after each change of prime minister. |

I suspect it's a bigger issue now because the donor is Lord Alli. Ignoring the obvious reason why the Mail, Sun, Express and GB News don't like him he also wants to reform the press. Apparently to remove political bias amongst other things. They're loving this. |

I think the issue is that this wouldn't have been a story 6 months ago. It's not right, it's not against the rules but it should be. This kind of thing has been happening for years at all levels of politics and shouldn't have been. Just look at local councillors declarations. |

That's the problem. People aren't interested. The Senedd wouldn't be in existence if they were. Both those issues have been clearly put to the public who either weren't interested or voted for them to be implemented. Exactly the same for the 20 mph. Labour in Wales can do what they want because they'll be elected, if they fall slightly short in terms of numbers then Plaid will support them because they're basically the same. I can see reform doing well under the new system but not well enough to make a difference. I'd love to see a new centrist, anti-devolution and anti-independence emerge it would take generations to make a difference but I'd probably even consider getting politically involved with them. We desperately need an alternative who aren't idiots. |

The expansion was in the manifesto they were elected to deliver. As was the 20mph speed limit. |

Lucky bugger I'd say. She gets £91k a year, a good MP should earn more than that. |

It's up to him really. He's doing a difficult job, one that deserves more than £166k a year. I wouldn't do it if I was worth £15 million. |

Yep. Including all the guff they get added on for offices etc. No accommodation expenses, they can stay in a travel lodge if they live far enough away from Westminster. Their staff should be paid as civil servants not from MPs expenses. Similar for travel and all that. It's how the civil service runs, and they are civil servants. I wouldn't do their job for what they get at the moment. The PM gets similar to a director level in Swansea council and. An MP similar to someone at management level. It's nuts. Put it this way. If this was the situation Caroline Harris would not be earning £91k a year. The |

It's nothing new. It shouldn't be allowed full stop. Labour should be ashamed. But the Tories did worse, wallpaper, BJ holidaying at the Goldsmith's place, accepting donations from racists, Jenrick and his recent donations. No gifts, no lobbying, no second jobs just pay them what they deserve. Which probably needs to be more |

If that was the other way around and Musk was British and the Summit was in the states there's no way he'd have been invited. The fella is a nutcase. Albeit an incredibly rich one unfortunately. |
