You're not wrong, it literally bounces up right in front of him and hits him on the knee. I'd question more what was Egbo doing as he retreated into no-man's land leaving the goal scorer with a much more straightforward chance. |

6,986 tonight. Shame we couldn't have found another 14 from somewhere. |

I looked back and I think the 2-1 win over Bournemouth back in 2011 has been my only Friday night game at the JCS. If not it's certainly the only one I remember. W4 and W6 now sold out. Limited tickets in E4 to E8 and W2 to W3. Probably less than 150. Wonder if the turnstile in the South stand has been repaired yet. |

Reckon we've got a decent chance of beating it. Incidentally how many Friday night matches have there been at the JCS? Wondering if this might be my first one. |

Slightly concerning about Goodliffe as I fully expect him to be here next season although I also thought Kelleher would be leaving but right now I think we should definitely be offering him a new contract. |

And it's only Tuesday! Can't see Grimsby bringing many but it's looking like we might have over 5,000 on a Friday night. Maybe it will encourage the club to have more Friday night games going forward. Not sure if they're restricted by the league or have to get agreement from various different parties. |

I reckon we decided to get rid of all of our mistakes, bad luck and poor performances all in one game. Bradford have the best home record in the division so it was always a free hit really. Time to forget about it and move on. Eight games to go. Five wins required, possibly four if we can beat both Grimsby and Crewe. UP THE U'S!!! |

Poor Todd. Obviously we'll never know but I do wonder if his career might have turned out better had he have stayed here rather than leave when he did. He's still young though so plenty of time to turn it around. Craig Eastmond looked to be going nowhere fast at a similar age but ended up having a pretty decent career at Sutton, not going quite so well for him at Wealdstone either though. Sometimes it's all about finding your feet and your confidence and enjoy playing football again, the rest will follow after that. |

Halford is missing and don't forget the part that Cureton played, albeit as a loan signing, but he was the catalyst for our season turning around. I agree that the 2005/06 team was far superior in pretty much every position. I think a few of this year's team would make the squad with maybe Iandolo and Edwards pushing for a starting spot. Also football was different back then to how it is now. I think our best team that season was: Gerken Halford Brown Chilvers Duguid Garcia Watson Danns Iwelumo Cureton Yeates I forget that we went into that final game against Yeovil with no Brown, no Yeates, no Garcia and no Cureton. I think the promotion season was Parkinson's third full season in charge and we'd finished 15th, 12th, 11th and 15th in the previous four. Cowley has been in charge for just over a season and our last four season's have seen us finish 20th, 15th, 20th and 22nd. From where we were 12 months ago it's quite some turnaround. And we've sold four players in that time plus two of our better players from last season decided to leave. |

I'm expecting the same starting XI but with Iandolo in midfield instead of Hunt, as it was on Tuesday night. According to what I've read Iandolo's yellow cards at Swindon DO NOT count in terms of yellow card accumulation so he sits on nine yellow cards going into Saturday's game. It's game 37 so pretty much the last chance for him to be suspended for accumulation of yellow cards. Fingers crossed he stays out of the referee's book as we can't afford to lose him for two games at this stage of the season. |
