I’m trying to think of a QPR keeper in the last 25 years who stayed on his line more than he did. Granted, he made a few important saves but equally he dropped a few points (Plymouth especially) too.
Overall, given his profile, he was a little underwhelming.
Excited about the new keeper (who I know nothing about!)
The older I get the more I think, I just want people in charge who serve us, and not themselves and their mates… wishful thinking
Sunak and Starmer both at the their core feel relatively centrist and looking more widely it feels like extremes (right) on the rise in Europe will be the future battleground when the next election cycle hits.
If we could sustain a PL existence, could we live with a 15,000 seater stadium, with leg room and maybe some better bars.
If it were ever possible to purchase the school end (wasn't this a recently discussed possibility again) and we could then do something about capacity?
Expensive with poor kicking, passing and an unusually odd desire to stick to his line, there are plenty of better options out there. His stats are helped greatly by the fact he had JCS and Cook in front of him.
And like buses the WLS boys have uploaded another podcast. Good discussion about goalkeepers.
Be interesting to see what happens in that department. Also hearing Ian M on the pod say that Murphy Mahoney looked too small to be a GK at Champ level, as a man that is the same height as World Cup 94 keeper Jorge Campos (crazy keeper tops) everyone is tall to me... but I thought exactly this when Mahoney admirably stepped in a couple of years ago, yet he's listed at 6ft 2...
Anyway, I digress, decent WLS pod to while away some time at work!
Am I alone in thinking, unless we receive a daft offer (£10mil) we should be keeping JSC?
Wouldn’t mind seeing us have a push towards the nosebleed end of the table and for me JSC is a crucial part of that.
I know we are a club that needs to sell to be solvent but it seems a shame that we’ve had him for just a season and he’s formed a real formidable partnership with Cook.
