I disagree, sorry lads. Or defending has been awful and our passing all over the pitch has been sloppy. They've scored five, should have had another peno, and Vardys missed a sitter and had another goalbound shot blocked. Some of our play in the middle of the first half was really good but that seems a long time ago now. Varane, Chair and Kolli have done ok, but I'd say that's about it. |

Ya...but what about my shoes, BC? I've never really liked his voice, to be honest, but I think at least some of that is because of a stubborn 'debate' with my Dad - who loves him - a 'debate' that has gone on for nearly fifty years now. |

Didn't have the pleasure of knowing the gent, but you've written lovely words about him, as did Hugh Carnegy in the FT piece. I hope he was looking over your shoulder as you wrote, pen in hand. Rest easy Andrew. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal. |

Dreadful. Screechy, croaky, cabaret, destroyer of actual real artists' songs. And he once vomited on my shoes. |

I really liked 'Conclave'. Films with lots of dialogue and very few settings can sometimes come across as stage plays masqurading as films and I can find that distracting and a bit boring, but I thought 'Conclave' was done so well, and the acting was so good that the film zipped along really nicely. Re-watched 'Dances with Wolves' during the week. Utterly superb. Even better than I'd remembered. Great idea for a thread, E17. Thanks. |
