What is it with Sky and the football league? Lets have a look at the fixture lists and pick the awkward long ones for early or late kick offs. The ones where you can catch a train to the game but sorry there are no trains for the return journey. For us on Saturday in particular its black friday weekend so numbers will be down anyway. Leaving Swansea at 4am on Saturday should mean we will miss much of the holiday traffic on the way up at least. A comfortable win for us should make the trip more enjoyable so please Swans turn up!!!
If the clubs official coaches have to have security on them these people will have to be paid the correct rate per hour by law?...That cost would have to be factored in to the price.so for example a 15 hour shift at £14 per hour would be £210 without the cost of the drivers, fuel etc. When Swans travel did the coaches the stewards went free though there were never any problems on the coaches. Can the same be said now?
Will 4000 fans really want to travel down to see this game though? We have the derby the week after and we would have had the Portsmouth game a few days earlier. Many of our fan base will have to pick and choose as following your football team home or away is not a cheap treat anymore.
Kids for a quid on a regular basis only in the South Stand which is looking more empty every home game which should also improve the atmosphere in the ground. Open the ticket office up more often and allow cash sales of tickets and in the club shop.
If you go back in time over many years our attendances were ok in promotion years but for the last few games there would be sell outs as fans wanted to say they were there....if we start to rise towards the play off spots our attendances will rise although SKY may have a say in that.
Luton will sell out as the away end only holds about 1200....not the best of grounds or views. Very compact and dont try to sit down to watch the game.....
If the match is being televised some fans with families will pick up brownie points and stay at home after Sunday lunches. Others will give it a miss because its too cold or getting dark earlier or....the cost is another problem but that is life at the moment unfortunately
good result watched the last 40 minutes including extra time and my wife who want that bothered was the one ready to throw something at the tv when the referee took so long to give the winning goal...
Records are there to be broken just like teams do it to us at home all the time we can score our first goals since......and win at the Kassam and all will be wine and roses again....
