Eng v Scotland on 22:40 - Aug 14 with 1912 views | KenBoon | I'm not ashamed to admit I was welling up a bit when Lambert put that one away. It is a fairy story having worked his way up. A cracking Footballer with a Footballers brain who delivered last season in the Premier League. I cannot believe people were shocked when he was called up. I swear to God, if Donkey Carroll gets ahead of him for the next match then i'll cheer the opposition. Our Football Club - and Steve Parkin in particular - should be very proud of the role they played in helping Rickie. Now I better go hit the road on White Lightning to get my man card back.

Eng v Scotland on 23:32 - Aug 14 with 1767 views | D_Alien | Cracking game of football, and what started out as a soap opera turned into a Fairy tale for our Ricky! You could see the look of disgust on Kenny Miller's face when we equalized, after he'd scored a good goal that he thought might have been the winner and his own claim to immortality. Fair play to the Scots, they've got a brighter future ahead of them under Strachan. As for England's future, with Wilshire, Walcott, O-C and Zaha we've got genuinely exciting young players with international talent to add to the more experienced hands. I'd say whether Lambert gets into future squads does depend on other players being unavailable because of his age. For now, just chuffed to bits that he's grabbed his chance.

Absolutely bang on about Steve Parkin. Often feel his role in bringing quality strikers to the club is overlooked. Shudder to think where we would be (financially) now without those sales (as pathetic as some of the amounts were).

Watched the game in my local tonight with my father in law, and told him Rickie would score when he came on. Didn't well up but jumped out of my seat cheering. Fantastic stuff.

Eng v Scotland on 00:04 - Aug 15 with 1644 views | sandylaner1 | fk that, age regardless HE SHOULD BE IN THE SQUAD FOR THE NEXT QUALIFIERS - what more could he have done, his only chance and he took it and saved englands arses welbeck MOM was really laughable its this big club bias that has cost england dear over the years and lamberts stepped up tonight and done it for the football league grant holt should of been picked last season, lambert's finally been picked now after scoring 15 league goals last season compared to welbecks 1 well done ricky
