Why? 21:37 - Dec 17 with 3413 views | R17ALE | Why, I asked JC, does someone feel the need to crucify you on this messageboard. I alluded to this 3 times but never got an answer! What I will say is that he has been deeply hurt by lies posted on this forum. So I ask, why are there one or two people out there who have this hatred of our manager? Personally, I found him hard to warm to, but passionate and enthusiastic, if stubborn and a little aggressive at times. Given that I've known Hill and Parkin, this chap in comparison is the poorest in instilling a desire to run through brick walls and he can over-talk things to a point. And, to my delight, he can miss the point! But I have every respect for him in allowing me and Talking Sutty half an hour. But why, just why are so many knives being sharpened against him on the internet? It's unpleasant, and uncalled for imho.

Why? on 21:41 - Dec 17 with 2711 views | fitzochris | I can only assume someone has a personal grudge against him and is doing their damnedest to undermine him. Cowardly, though, given it's being done facelessly on here.

Why? on 21:59 - Dec 17 with 2585 views | R17ALE | He told me there was someone within the dressing room who obviously wanted him out perhaps "because maybe they think I'm trying to stifle them" was the quote. Make of that what you will! Isn't it great having a load of Scousers at the club? Cant believe Brookside didn't usurp Corrie watching this lot!

When you think about it, there are surely only a handful of people in the dressing room who could be behind it. It's most unlikely that any of the Scouse Mafia would have it in for him considering they'd all be playing in the Conference North if it wasnt for him. And he's managed most of them before and they wouldnt have signed for him a second time if they had it in for him. So that leaves a small number of players brought to the club under previous regimes, or long standing staff members...

If someone wants him out and they are within the dressing room he must be as thick as to not know who it is - You would not require a lot of brains to narrow it down - and surely - if I were in his position - it would be a priority!!!! Also have to ask why he is unpopular with the person in question - Maybe because you are playing your buddy Cav in a position he could play and do a better job in!!!! Before you say it - I dont know who it is - or who the mole is and the paragraph above is just a poke at M.S. :)

This seasons 'mole' may actually be an ex-player (or relation of) who keeps in touch with a player at the club. With the mighty scouse just being a short sharp burst, it could be that the current player was just talking about what had been happening at the club (in all innocence) then the p!ssed off ex player, telling their sister (or brother ) with a grudge, then hey presto, it lands on here! I kind of hope that it is something like this and no one from within the club.

Lets hope so S.T. - but if they knew of the fight and other incidents I would guess its someone more hands on and recent than an ex player

Perhaps someone who they still socialise with perhaps? One random post in the middle of the MS stuff on another thread just makes me think this. I wouldnt have thought this particular poster would be interested in Rochdale any more! Probably a million miles off though.

Why? on 22:52 - Dec 17 with 2317 views | 49thseason | I think Coleman has left himself open to a lot of abuse because he isn't very good at the PR side of Management and gets no help from the club. There are very few comments from him on the BBC and little that gets into the wider public domain if you don't have Daleplayer and don't read the Manchester Evening Observer. A spot of astute PR would have nipped a lot of this negative stuff in the bud if done early on eg transcripts of Daleplayer interviews on the main web site. A more direct addressing of the problems he has on a day to day basis, an outline of his "grand plan "etc. Mostly we are treated like the proverbial mushrooms and "Team Rochdale" is the victim. Also Mr Dunphy needs to do more than spout fairly banal comments to the Ob. The fans are desperate for leadership, vision, reassurance that Messers Coleman Bell and Dunphy have a handle on things and a plan. Today is a good first step but its a long road.

I dont get your post, particularly the first paragraph! Loads of crap gets posted on this board, within one week, the fans get an opportunity to meet with the manager, to have a proper chat with the guy, and ask what they want without restaint, and time limit. In my book that is the best PR you are ever likely to find in proffesional football today. BTW the photographer from MEN, I presume, present for a time today, seemed to know and appreciate JC

In fairness I would guess that the P.R. today has been in response to what has been said on here recently - it has been terrible recently and I would say this is a response from the club to try and motivate the fan base!

Well it still happened, which, as I have said, would not have happened at many other football clubs. It maybe to try and motivate the fanbase, but I am fairly confident when I say, that, of the fans that turned up today, none of them that I met were stay away, more diehard... As for "terribile recently" I would say, thats down to new/infrequant posters, and new mischief makers, whoever any of them may be.

I agree that today was a hell of a good move by the club, I really think that whatever happened today could be the turning point for this season - so P.R. or whatever - its still a great move. We all see the trouble causers a mile off RAFC - I just ignore what they say - Tazzy Style :)
