Not really sure what you are trying to say there Dai but he was head of neurosurgery at the royal london hospital and helped thousands of "ordinary" people throughout his career and was a leading figure in the development of treatment for people with severe head and spinal injuries.
He had a passion for motorsport and was bought into F1 when deaths were a regular occurance and his work along with others has develop safer cars, restraining devices etc that benefits us all in the long run as these are then applied to road cars.
