I did say a number of years ago. Living in a small place the crooks are soon found out and dealt with in the local way. Ingram was taken aside and told to disappear. He had a new company every year and they all went bust, owing tens of thousands to locals. I just looked on companies house. Using his double barrel name ( he was just Ingram before), he has gone bust more times than a pontoon player.

Captain Tom’s lot on 00:10 - Nov 22 with 561 views | Robbie | Once that £ sign comes into the equation during family discussions , loyalty goes out of the window , been there and seen it happen in my dealings with financial issues as a family . Rich relatives once the red mist and money is mentioned grab what they can get . Family feelings and best use of the legacy are totally ignored by others who want their cash . Sad end to a great effort by Sir Tom and money raised . If proven potential fraud his daughter and son in law should be ashamed .
Captain Tom’s lot on 04:30 - Nov 22 with 533 views | Kilkennyjack | You called it at the time. Hospitals should be properly funded, thats the thing that needs fixing. Tories were happy to starve it of cash and then privatise, rinse and repeat. Nothing against the old man, but how could his family even think this was appropriate ?

Hospitals have not been starved of funds record funding every year. The only privatisation of the NHS occurred under the Labour government where the new GPS contracts resulted in GPs being considered as contractors to the NHS. This has been further endorsed by Reeves who exclude the NHS from the recent NI increases but she has imposed them on GPS. The other privatisation Blair did was to build hospitals under the Private Finance Initiative where private companies build and funded new hospitals with a guaranteed 15% return on capital for 25 years. This was not purely to keep borrowing off the government books. Government borrowing rates at the time was 4%.

Wrong again! he Conservative government under Margaret Thatcher from 1979 onwards looked for ways of changing the NHS, with a greater role of the private sector, and for limiting health spending and it was not afraid to take on the doctor's trade union, the British Medical Association (BMA). The 1990 contract which was imposed by Kenneth Clarke after it was rejected in a ballot, linked GP pay more strongly to performance. More money was attached to capitation and less to the basic practice allowance, in line with the Thatcher government's general enthusiasm for competition – an enthusiasm which was not shared by many GPs. The number of professional members on the family health services authority was considerably fewer than had been the case with the family practitioner committee.[5] The terms and conditions of primary medical service delivery were closely specified. The 'Red Book' (Statement of Fees and Allowances) detailed the payment tariffs for each individual treatment. Targets were set for cervical smears and immunisations. GPs were required to give health checks to new patients, patients over 75 and those who had not seen a GP for 3 years. https://lowdownnhs.info/explainers/are-gps-already-privatised-or-still-part-of-t
