Chair - what's the story? 23:48 - Aug 13 with 35947 viewsqueensparker

I have no ITK or agenda here but want to throw it out there as what else are these forums for but complete conjecture?

Is he really injured? Is this some 4D chess from Nourry to sell him? Is there something from his court case we're not being told? Has he been promised to Besiktas or Lens? Do we need the money? Does he want to go?

The bloke has held our club together for the last two years at least, without him we'd have been relegated soundly long ago.

As the last few games have also shown, we're going to badly miss him if he goes.

How do we think this is going to play out?

I reckon he’s doing community service and it’s best just to say he’s injured

But are we going to keep him after his "injury or service " is cleared up and is he as vital to Marti as he is to us .I mean do we need the money more than keeping Chair or will he be back as one of the first 11 on the team sheet .
We need him badly if last 2 games are any indication .He would have driven Cambridge nuts today and they would never had those many chances if he was toying with them down the other end IMO

Since he became a first team starter, his league appearances have been 41-45-39-40-44 and the 39 is the season he played in the AFCON. In other words, he's almost never injured.

Well he was in the stand sat alongside Morgan Fox, watching the West Brom game on Saturday, so that’s one conspiracy out the window.

It’s hard to describe exactly how important he is however having watched the last two matches - it’s very self evident why we need him!

Mentioned it in another thread , but it appears he does actually have a back injury .
I was talking about different reasons why he isn’t around to do with his community service etc and I still think it’s playing a part somehow like he is doing his hours during the week in bulk to get it done or whatever ?
But heard Saturday through someone high up that he is actually injured .

Unless they too are being spun nonsense?

...which is the problem with rumours coming from the club: we have no idea if the people telling the rumours are telling us the truth.

For the community service rumours, Chair has been present for the last 3 home games. At West Brom he was with Cannon, Fox, we can only assume all have injuries at present

Injured - as said though my personal belief is that he will go towards the end of the window - last year was stressful enough for everyone having to wheel and deal like Mike Brewer to not cash in when we have the chance.

Given that a rumour by definition is a story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth, I'd say we can be uncertain and doubtful about it.

I'm not sure why we think (not you Mr Mc) community service hours coincide with EFL ko times. Even felons deserve a leisure break.

In the blue and whi at half time 3 men were talking .
Not to me but i was in earshot.
One said how much Chair was missed today.
His mate said they cant play him because they dont want to risk injury because Leeds have offered £10 million with add ons.
When i went back to my seat i asked a few people but noone had heard that?

If Leeds had offered that we'd just sell him rather than making up an injury which sees him miss playing in any games for a month

He's just got a back injury

217 games equates to well over 300 hours of community service.

He’s earned his freedom, time to let go.

Didn't Marti say that Chair was one of the 'other' captains along with Field and a couple of more ? If so I doubt he's due to be leaving

If Leeds offer £10m Nourry will drive him up the M1 himself.
