I do not believe Martin could ever deliver a play off place this season. Whittaker back and the Man city lad smith must be first teamers. But Smith is a left back to replace Manning next season not the right back needed to give Latibeaudiere a break this season. |  |

Obafemi hasn’t played for the last 7 games and was on the bench for the 3 out of 4 previous as Martin dropped him.
Some people expected Pato to leave, although I maintained he would probably stay.
So in terms of options, we have swapped Whittaker for Obafemi and from what I have heard relationships are slowly being mended AGAIN with Pato who is in contention again for a place in the squad.
It’s as we were, with the extra option of Pato potentially coming back. Martin has to just backtrack real quick with Whittaker and make him feel he is part of things.
I can’t think of anyone we missed out on that is going to particularly be a miss for us. Grant would not have lasted 2 seconds under Martin, doesn’t run, lazy, loses possession, can’t pass.
That sounds like a last minute desperation one. |  |

Well that’s it. If this club weren’t prepared to back Cooper the. they’re not going to back Martin, especially after they backed him over Darling and Fisher. To see how Potter and Cooper have done since they left us is enough evidence to know this club is going only one way under the current ownership. Where has all the money gone? Treading water while they arrange to sell. Balance the books, little or no debt, minimal running costs and comfortable in mid table. For me the aim is obvious, just get it done sooner rather than later. |  | | |

Plans are plans, they don’t always come off.
You can’t legislate for clubs asking too much, players not wanting to come, clubs pulling out due to a transfer elsewhere falling though.
They didn’t once say they were going to be bringing in a host of players and spending oodles of cash.
I think it’s being prepped as an excuse for further failure this season.
The truth is we had a very good squad before the window and we still do now. The only player we lost is one who hasn’t really played a part in the last half of the season so far. | |
