It wouldn’t be surprising if there has been contact but the type of contact and who is where the questions should be asked. The twenty million means nothing and is too low for me. If we are genuinely interested in keeping him it should be thirty.

Piroe is the last player I would want us to lose.
Having a high price tag is all well and good but you also have to consider the player whilst he is contracted Im sure if a PL club comes calling that player would want to move ...for the status and the wonga that club will be willing to throw at them.
I doubt price tags will put off some clubs as they know money talks and players at championship level would jump at the chance of moving up to the PL.
Would we salso want to have a peed off player on the books ?
I think all the inflated price tag will do is gaurantee a good selling price rather than one which is bargain babsement.
I am sure given Piroes record last season clubs will be sniffing....I really hope he stays as quite frankly wiothout him we will be stuffed | |

The point is Piroe is far better than McBurnie or Brewster. They both had a semblance of service while Piroe could probably claim assists to half his own goals.
If somebody comes in with silly money he’s gone I know but make the sods pay through the nose and squeeze some add ins and s sell on fee while we’re at it.
I can’t see us finding a good replacement - I might be wrong but without him we will struggle. | |
