Can anyone confirm whether the whole pitch has been relaid or not? From the two links I'm posting it really looks like there's a definite line slightly past the halfway point. Firstly on the picture in the link, and then the video (go to about 55 seconds for where it's most evident).

There is a huge pile of soil from the old pitch in the Cricket and Lacrosse club car park, there must be a couple of hundred tons. Apparently its being saved there for when the pitch is rebuilt in the summer. Its a safe bet the local allotments will be "improving" their soil before long. |  | | |

I didn't realise the intention was to have another go at the pitch in Summer. Given the figures being bandied about regarding the cost of this pitch I would have thought it would have more than 3 months left in it.
Of course if somebody else paid for the pitch maybe it's not such a big deal. [Post edited 18 Feb 2018 14:21]

There was a post on the club's Facebook page urging fans to bring their own flags and they will be adorned on the front few rows of the Pearl Street. I doubt that's the reason those seats aren't being used, but I suppose a few rows of flags looks better than those black sheets they usually have over them. | | | |
