Apparently Garry monk is sadly missed ! 11:26 - Nov 30 with 3210 viewsLoyal

By 90 % of Swans supporters according to Dan who rings talk sport too often.
Jeez ....

Celebrating a full strength Leeds getting knocked out of the EFL by a second string Liverpool side last night and Monk is the new Messiah, utter bollox.

You think so? Not sure many would agree but you're welcome to your opinions.

I would. Slowly, but surely. It's a cliché, but Frankie was undone by comedy errors at the back and woeful finishing. Oh, and the owners wanting SCAFC to be project GO USA.

Not that he will give one ounce of sh*t what I think, but I can never forgive Monk for what he did to us.

Under Martinez, Rodgers, Laudrup and even to some extent Sousa who got us organised, we had a unique playing style compared to others at the same level at us, we even passed Arsenal off the park a few times.

As a rookie coach, he took it upon himself to coach out any of what was once a quality playing style. Bought absolute garbage behind the scenes like Beattie etc. The moment the board took him on without even interviewing anyone else, it was obvious the priorities had changed for the board.

We struggled under Laudrup that season, Uefa Cup took it's toll, it happens to most clubs who get into that position, so I didn't have any complaints about the sacking as we needed a boost from somewhere, but the football we played under him I wouldn't have dreamed of a Swansea side playing like that in my lifetime. Quality.

Is the correct answer.

Never wanted us promoted under Sousa, bladed Laudrup a because he wanted the job, was far too big for his boots down here, along with Jenkins helped set the club years, all because or arrogance and ego .

Wish him all the best at Leeds, is doing well so far.

Marching On Together apparently. I didn't know either I had to ask someone on here.

Yeah, Marching on Together. It’s their club song that they play at home games.
The fans also chant it, much like we sing 'Take me to the Vetch Field...'

Genetically, paedophiles have more genes in common with crabs than they do with you and me. Now that is scientific fact. There's no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact.

Guidolin was doing a good job of getting performances out of a really poor squad, but "The Swansea Way" was dead before he arrived and showed no signs of a return under him.

Not his fault, he didn't have the players for it.

I wonder if Liids will take our place in the prem ,now that would be a right turn up for the books , I have to say it Gary's got them playing some good football .

The story goes like this ,Gary had a choice, Management or players ,he sided with management over the Dyer saga , because Dyer had to leave or blood would have flowed . The players stopped giving effort for him ,as we all witnessed in the turn around of effort when Curt took the helm

True or Myth ? it'll all come out in the wash one day

Good theory. Confirmed on here by a relation of Nathan Dyers wife that the stories being circulated at the time were in fact nonsense.

Nathan was happy signing a 4 year deal in the summer.

He was a shit manager. No amount of conspiracy theories will change that. Maybe he has learned from his mistakes, I hope he does well at Leeds

It was always going to be a big ask. How many rookies have taken a PL job as their first and made a success of it? Not many I bet. It's a results business and we had our best finish in this spell in the top leagues under him. Unfortunately to get those results he got rid of much of what previously had made us a success and his / Huw's signings from that time were also poor.

I'm not defending him and he had to go. But a sh*t manager? No, just not ready for it imo.

He had that look about him an hour into his first game. Eyes glazed over and Curt shouting in his ear trying to wake him up.

Fair play to Garry at least it took him a year to run out of ideas.

Hello? Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me.

Fair enough, I won't argue with that. I'll change it to shit manager for us at that stage of his career. He may go on to do well for himself. He absolutely ruined us though.

Monk contributed to his own downfall. E.g. player selection and tactics.

HJ and the scouting team are responsible for the poor player recruitment that season.

I wouldn't be surprised if his mrs constant involvement fckd him too, they don't like outsiders the old board. Well, unless they have a bag of millions.
