My first one as nobody else had bothered,2-1 Rangers Washington to score winner in last 10 mins after hall equalises to cancel out an early Brighton goal, and a few choruses of our favourite song :)

If we get in the play-offs next year it will be fantastic progress. Top 4 would be miraculous.

We've overachieved in my eyes this year, even after it being far more difficult to get to a bit of stability than it should have been.

I'm happy with how this season turned out, mediocre is just what we needed IMO.

Overachieved???
I know you have an agenda but we do have one of if not the highest wage bill in this division so no matter how you spin it we all know that's nonsense.

What agenda? We're ended up better than I anticipated. We've had seasons of amazing highs or deathly lows for a few years now. And we've lurched from stupid decision to stupid decision during that time.

Everyone was freaking out about relegation earlier in the season (remember how we all lost our minds and ran Ramsey out of town?) and we've ended up comfortably safe in mid table. That's a positive in my book.

Good luck to Hughton.

I feel y for Washington. Playing upfront again on his own, a job he's not equiped for. He needs to work with Poulter. JFH bought him but doesn't seem to know how use him correctly.

Just because you assumed we'd be relegated doesn't make this season a good one.
Our level of achievement is measured against levels of investment which are still adding to our already substantial debt.
This season was doomed the moment we gave CR the job, managers get run out of town when when they lose control which he had.
The season has been a very poor one but that's not JFHs fault as he's been clearing up the mess created over the previous few seasons.
Imo next season will be a struggle so any thoughts of going up are miles off where we are heading in reality.
I just can't see TF and his mob hanging around propping up the club for the how ever many seasons it takes to build a team to challenge for promotion.
They aren't here for the benefit of our club but to use it as a conduit to other business interests.
The biggest issue we have isn't the quality of our squad,it's the huge debt that's gonna be an anchor round our neck.

Still not sure what my agenda is meant to be.

I'm not expecting promotion next year. Rebuilding a basket case of a club like ours doesn't happen quickly.

I'd like it to happen though, and some mediocrity is inevitable while we do it. If it goes better than expected, then promotion may happen by 'accident'. If it goes badly and we get relegated, then we are probably screwed for a very long time.

What we have learnt is that constantly demanding and getting changes to management and team after a run of bad results has got us to where we are. We need to try something different. Slow progress is probably worth a shot.

WTF you on about? There isn't massive debt. FFS, written off and turned into equity.

Apart from tonights result obviously i'm quite pleased for Chris Hughton. He seems a decent guy but has gone through the school of hard knocks in terms of managing. I hope they get promoted along with Boro and Burnley.

So they just waved all the money they lent the club?
Are you are saying as a club we have no debt now?
I haven't been on here that much recently and don't recall seeing this reported.

In TF's interview with Clive it said that there was a £17m loan from Barclays that would be paid off during next season and was the only debt the club had now.

It's probably not debt free but was massively reduced by the shareholders swapping debt for equity.

Agree with that last bit Chubbs, how long Tune hang around is a concern, post Tune is a concern, and TF didn't buy in for a mid table Championship outfit.

No easy answers, for so many novice Club owners.

Making Albion look like Barcelona isn't the answer though. I've dispensed with any hope of play-offs next season. Leeds have just promised all ST holders a refund if they don't make play offs next season and with those coming down, I dont think we have a hope. On the back of a 4-0 thrashing from a fairly average Albion I would take 12th next season right now.

I cant get my head around QPR right now, Tune well, you have to wonder how long before they bail out.

Hang in there, Brighton. If they were going to bail in the short term, it would have been about the time when they realised we weren't going to get immediately promoted back to the Premier, roughly the time when they gave Ramsey the flick.

Barring external triggers (always a possibility when the worth of the owners is subject to the extreme vicissitudes of their primary businesses), the next hurdles are a) disappointing performance , ie, relegation much more likely than promotion, or b) an absolute flat, final 'no chance' on the stadium complex at OOC. I can live with those risks as I don't think any of them are probables rather than just possibles.

Keep your chin up and stay optimistic. Things are actually pretty good right now.
