Indeed. Disgusting word. Have never used it and would never use it myself. P.S. Just watching that Prejudice video again. He's not only a great comedian but a great musician. Genius. Anyone else watched it? Well worth a watch. [Post edited 12 Dec 2015 17:17]

A tale of two Manchester school photos: 1955 - 2015 on 13:16 - Dec 12 by Nookiejack | Others would say they took with them smallpox and flu and wiped out the indigenous people. Others would also say that because were oppressed and subjugated in Wales - didn't justify them oppressing and subjugating indigenous people in America and Patagonia. Also isn't the land the same piece of land - whether hunter gatherer or farmer use it? So Welsh emigrants took the land off hunter gatherers and/or farmers. However we are where we are in respect of human history and my own view is I like mix and support immigration. An Indian family has just moved in next door to me and they are much nicer people than the white family that just left - who weren't nice people at all. I don't want though say a million people immigrating into the country all at once especially from one particular country. Londonlisa provided above statistics that immigrants into the UK have been widely spread from across a wide range of countries - so that makes me more comfortable. I would like Govt to commission a study of what we think is a sustainable population in the UK though - taking into flood plains etc - population density in South East (where most immigrants seem to want to live)and infrastructure (Hospitals, Schools and transport etc). If we could determine this then happy for a flow of immigrants matched by emigrants equating to sustainable populations. The religious aspect of immigration does sometimes concern me as an Atheist - this might be 1m conservative Christians all at once and/or Muslims all at once. No difference to me. Hence less concerned if Londonlisa's data is true where immigrants into UK appear to be widely spread. Welsh culture has positive as well as negative things. Let's take best things of all cultures to make a better society. |
If man doesn't fence off and maintain a piece of land then does he own it in God's eyes ?, then we have what is called 'right of conquest'. Surely you have lived under English law to recognise the thinking. Are you advocating mixing our civilisation with others to add to the mix ?

I didn't see Humpty's post before it was removed Darr, so didn't know he'd repeated it - no, it shouldn't have been done. But I don't understand why dailew is still on the site, unbanned I'm afraid. He'll just deny it all now of course, before making some other pathetic 'wacist' type post.

I didn't see Humpty's post. I saw your post where you used it (which I assume Humpty replied to). No problem in people disagreeing with all sorts of stuff, nor expressing views which I don't like. I express views which loads of people on here don't like. But use of that is beyond the pale in my view, so I would have banned you for it. Irrespective of whether you used an 'anagram to get round the swear filter' as you described.

Context is king as always. On reading dailew's now deleted post I'm not sure how context helps him to be honest. But I haven't watched the Tim Minchin vid he keeps referring to.

Just re-read the article and what I really should have said was "ggreins" are massively over-represented amongst Muslim Converts.
