When we erroneously got the Derby commentators, one of them said he was pleased the ref wasn't being swayed by the partisan crowd. Obviously meant as an insult but came out as a cmpliment. They were crap comms - luckily we only had to endure it for some minutes !
I don't have the gumption ( first time on LFW ?), some of you have. It's wearing me out. I never liked being told what to do at school & work and don't like a fifth rate TV company telling me when I can follow my pursuits.
Teams like Coventry have turned football into a war of attrition. If football had been played like this when I was a kid about a quarter to three, I wouldn't have spent half my life and about half a million quid watching it.
Not a popular sentiment on here but in a way I have some regard for the refs and the lawmakers. Whatever they do, there are people who will cheat and use any stratagem to win a match. Danny Blanchflower saw this coming in about 1970.
