A bit of lateral thinking is what is required for this thorny problem. Find out who the designers of the TARDIS were and employ them to work their magic on the Matrade Loftus Road Stadium. It's been staring us in the face this whole time. |

Even if you aren't a fan of his, the Man In The Arena: Tom Brady TV documentary series is a fascinating watch and, like the Freddie Flintoff:Field Of Dreams, isn't just about the sport and the stars ego. A great insight into the relationship between the player, the teams and the families. For long time NFL fans, it's also a chance to see some of the great players of the time. |

The club have released a video of Frey's goal which starts just before Cooks brilliant dink pass to start the fast break. It's on X. They have also just uploaded the extended highlights on the official website which also shows the build up to our goal. [Post edited 22 Sep 14:19]

Things that were notable today; the utter inconsistency of the officials, letting some crunching tackles go by both sides which set the tone for the rest of the game. The QPR goal came about after some of the most intelligent defending I have seen a quite a number of years Cooks cushioned pass out and the resultant fast break is definitely something we should be seeing more of as we were generally found wanting in most areas and Millwall were just as good as we were but more physical At the time I didn't see any missed assignments by our players, it was just a good goal by them, it happens. I also thought Paal had another good game and has gone under the radar reading through the comments by those watching on a screen. Small margins decided today's result and Madsen is better than what I have been reading here. He wasn't good but he wasn't that bad by a distance. [Post edited 21 Sep 20:19]

Not trying to be provocative over this but the levels of fitness in Lees day compared to what is required these days is chalk and cheese. So much data is collected and analysed to get them to levels that never existed back then. The guy who came last in the 100m Olympic final also this year had a time that was 0.01 sec. faster than Carl Lewis' WR gold medal time. [Post edited 21 Sep 11:56]

If anyone is driving up and fancies a fish & chips lunch then I cannot recommend Georges Tradition in Long Eaton enough. They have been the best I have ever eaten for many years. |

I pretty much kept out of this subject as I have a very different view of Rayan based purely on two longish chats, 20 mins or so, about him, his time at QPR and his aspirations at QPR. The first was at the last home game of last season where he said he would be working very hard during the close season and pre season to break into the first team. The next conversation was after the home game with Luton and we just chatted about the club in general and he was pleased to pose for a few pics for my G'daughter in the US. He only had admiration for the club and seemed genuinely looking forward to the season ahead. Coupled with the words written by his father when he first broke into the squad I have grave misgivings about the veracity of the accusations made against him. I suspect that his absence has been due to an injury that the club kept quiet about, as he does have a history of missing a few games every season with injuries. His gait doesn't look the best for a footballer but there have been plenty of top rated players with similar gaits but I can't remember if they had injuries related to this. If the accusations do prove to be correct then I can only conclude that something serious has taken place in recent weeks to make him feel the club has turned against him as he really did seem like a decent lad when I've spoken to him. I suspect it will be a injury. |
