We heard an important word tonight:

Culture.

Those who don’t get it will be left behind. Those who pretend they get it will be found out. Those who say it and don’t emphasise it to ensure change will know it won’t be forgotten.

Time will tell.

We all know the failings of our football club, yes.

We call it out and do our best to hold them accountable. We don’t ignore things because we sign a few good players and win matches/promotions.

It’s why we still have a football club. Maybe your lot should have done the same. But you didn’t and Bury died and became AFC.

But you know that.

Jamie Willoughby came across really well. Everything else is a valid debate.

He seems aware of what change is required. Worth watching again when it’s on YouTube, would hope others can do the same and draw their own conclusions.

No. It’s a go lose it attitude. It won’t help the pitch or the team if we progress.

Nobody need do so. But no need to keep discussing it in the present either.

Especially at the top table at forums/AGMS etc.

If we beat Wolves in our final game we go through. Really hope we lose and that in the discussions with the NL about our pitch we have asked for the game to be switched to another venue.

Where has it been stated the forum isn’t being live streamed like usual?

Edit: found it on the OS story about the forum. Available on YouTube the next day. The rest still applies.

If that’s the case, why not and where is the information available on the Trust site that they challenged this to get an explanation for the supporters they represent who can’t attend?

That was covered at the last forum, and also mentioned early in this article;

Might just be me, but it’s getting boring to hear the club talk about the faults of previous regimes.

A comprehensive statement that is welcomed. The gesture helpings towards Boston fans travel is excellent

On the subject of further work to help with the problem areas, there’s mention why those areas did not warrant the same treatment as that carried out on the centre circle. Noting the phrase “financial cost becomes prohibitive”.

Also worth noting the previous pitch statement which discussed the use of covers and which were the “only” sort that would actually improve the situation:
https://rochdaleafc.co.uk/pitch-update-5/

Today’s statement notes we are now purchasing “enhanced pitch covers”.

There most certainly is an argument for a Trust EGM because their meandering is helping nobody, either the club or supporters.

Would there be enough Trust members on here who would support calling an EGM?

The area in the corner, good/bad drainage aside, was a problem because the ball wasn’t bouncing there last Tuesday or on Saturday. The surface there needed addressing like the surface in the centre of the pitch.

The drainage issue needs to be established by a complete reconstruction. The drains themselves may be fine and the water isn’t reaching them. It’s all speculation.

Dread to think of the carnage that ensue on the BBC website when it’s rearranged again.

To be fair, the OS story carries the obligatory apology for “inconvenience”.

A bit like McDonalds when they don’t have milkshakes available. Which, like getting a game on at Spotland, is always a ‘fingers crossed, you never know’ situation.

Totally get that. But at the same time fans and those present last Tuesday were already commenting on how there was an area of real concern in that corner.

Allowing a ref to have a decision to make is on us. No matter if we all may disagree.

If the club actually try and shift the blame to the ref at the forum, it will signify the lack of accountability and respect for supporters to acknowledge how they have fallen short.

The Trust have retweeted the club’s announcement about the game being off.

It would be just as easy to add “we will look to address this with the club on supporters behalf” in their tweet.

They didn’t. Because they STILL do not have processes in place to ensure supporters are fully informed across a myriad of possible situations that may occur. And they know it.

This is not about drainage or even rain. Because there’s hardly been any. That corner especially looked a total mess last week.

Q1:
What has been done to make it better?

Until we are specifically told there is an issue with the drains, that remains speculation.
