Hoos on Nourry 11:46 - Feb 21 with 2676 viewsstainrods_elbow

Well, LH thinks he's the bees knees as it turns out, so I guess if you're one of those unfathomable fans who like/d Lee, that should presumably give a shot in the arm to your esteem for Christian. (Conversely, on the principle that 'my enemy's enemy is my friend', in my case, if Hoos hated him, I'd think Nourry couldn't be all bad.)

As China Crisis once put it in their prophetic paean to CN 'Christian':

'This is emotion
Emotion less war
A torn shirt and a long dead cause
I can't sleep
This kind of thing gets me down
Don't say walk
I may lose my fear'

We’re doing great, no doubt in part to his work, but do we really need to dig up another QPR culture war?

Yes, but more importantly, props to China Crisis for anticipating his appointment.

he's not going to come out and say he's a prat is he. Hoos was part of bringing him in so would be weird if he did anything other than praise him

‘Hoos, 57, credited "multiple factors" for the upturn in results, including a great effort from the performance department, recruitment team and medical staff, as well as the players and boss Cifuentes’

Hardly a homage to CN anyway, more of a broader pat on the back.

Hoos on first base?

Hoos has always had the air of an arrogant tosser, who's keen to point the finger of blame at others, even when we've been doing badly; just seems to be part of his genetic make-up.

At least he's come out and said a public "Well done" to everyone.

To be fair, that’s not my experience of him, I’ve always found him open and visible especially on a match day.

I don't dispute that, GH, and I've had a chat with him about various issues and found him at least appearing to listen.

I just mean that you can imagine him laying down the law in meetings, losing his rag and then being somewhat prickly and defensive when blame is thrown back at him.

There was one great example on the official channel a couple of years or so back, when he bit on some criticism that Paul Morrison raised with him over the assertion that not enough creativity was being put into directives to maximise revenue through other sources than player sales, and he said something along the lines of "Well that's not going to change unless the media team suddenly tell me that they're going to contribute £700k of profit to the bottom line" in a somewhat over the top aggressive way that was a clear over-reaction to the question raised.

You seem to have not read this large part of the BBC article:-

"With Christian, we've got a young, dynamic CEO who is very good," Hoos said, also citing Nourry's impressive understanding of data and analytics.
"As far as I'm concerned, he's been a really great appointment and the working relationship we've developed has been fantastic."

Nourry is Hoos’ man, so you would expect him to praise him.

It seems to suggest Hoos is still involved at the Club, even if from a distance.

Is that the case ? I thought he’d left for pastures new…..

Oh sorry I thought you were being disingenuous to push whatever agenda you have this week.

Apologies if this was not the case.

Is there any need to to be so aggy all of the time?

I‘ve given credit to Nourry on this thread and others I’m not sure what else you want.
