5 Live went with Geordie John Murray and Newcastle United legend Chris Waddle. I know the excellent Murray is Football Correspondent so gets the pick of gigs but surely there should be some editorial oversight on this. Should have given big John tomorrow’s game where he is more obviously a neutral. Waddle isn’t even that good as a pundit. What were the BBC thinking? [Post edited 5 Feb 22:35]

Geordies on 23:46 - Feb 5 with 1259 views | queensparker | The “best fans in the world” turned on Bobby Robson and hounded him out of their club That seems to have been written out of history, they don’t like it when you bring it up
Geordies on 00:01 - Feb 6 with 1210 views | CLAREMAN1995 | I thought QPR got bad refs but how this guy did not red card Rice is beyond me ,did I mention he did not even get a yellow . Lets hope Spurs can beat Liverpool it will make a nice change in the final
Geordies on 00:07 - Feb 6 with 1190 views | Northernr | A real fairy tale story. A city that has been starved. A people who have longed. A cathedral in the sky. Bereft of hope. Deprived of vision. Until there was nothing left, and 60,000 people who'd definitely been there every week without fail forever started to ebb and flow away like the sands of time passing by this once proud football club. What if these people could live again? Asked Crown Prince Bashar Mun Princeton, mopping the sweat from his furrowed brow from a hard day's work beheading journalists and castrating the gays. Imagine the soft power and bottom line opportunities from bringing the Geordie nation a glorious League Cup. Today is the culmination of that hard work, perseverance, and grotesque overspend. A true underdog story. Humble MEME FC, meanwhile, left to reflect on another season in which they won at social media, but finished with exactly the same amount of silver wear as Morecambe. Perhaps another humble mural of the humble set piece coach might help? (Please let it be a Newcastle Spurs final, watching those two fcktastrophes fight over their first trophy for a collective 800 years will be absolutely amazing).

Geordies on 01:50 - Feb 6 with 1074 views | charmr | The pedantic capitulations and entitlement of Arsenal especially Rice, not even a booking and claiming he went for the ball. Add Sterlings only contribution to this game apart from what he always does In every game playing for Arsenal, giving the ball back to the player who just gave it to him, mouthing off to the referee and did get booked. So you know what he said was personal. I like their football but not the football team. Must come from the top. . Comes from Arteta. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It’s carried in this morning as well . If I ever go on mastermind . My specialty subject will be Newcastle , what they haven’t won since the Fairs cup final in the sixties . I know because we get bombarded with this information year after year.

Geordies on 09:49 - Feb 6 with 565 views | TheChef | Surely Spurs lose to Liverpool tonight? Although of course would be super Spursy to win tonight and then lose the final. Apparently some London-based Championship club did something similar many years ago - not sure it actually happened though...
