January Transfer Thread 13:27 - Dec 23 with 98113 views | KeithHaynes | Done some asking and Oli McBurnie is most certainly up for a loan back to the UK this window. I’ve been told four Championship clubs are interested. This will all fall on the fee’s involved plus he is on in the region of €36,000 a week. Big numbers but we know how these things can be negotiated. Do we have the money ? Yes. P&S will need to be positive and only the club really know where we are with that at this moment in time, It won’t be massively healthy. Oli has played fourteen games for Las Palmas this season with no return. He has never been a prolific striker, but could he settle into Luke’s team ?

And this is precisely it. We are fine at the moment points wise, because he was doing well enough before he lost the players. We’re in relegation form and we’ll quickly get dragged into it if we keep giving up after half an hour.

I thought he may have been sent there especially to get him out of the wa, while they decide what to do with him 🤷♂️

so that looks as if the chairman and board are sticking with him and hopefully back him because without new quality people in we are in trouble big trouble at that, maybe a change in a coach or 2 as well below the head one??

It’s about momentum,as is the case in most team sports Right now,we are on a downbound train heading for the buffers Keep this coach and the ramifications could see others lose their jobs Just how can they contemplate doing nothing It’s 20 days into the window and we ve done nothing We are talking ,I read . God help us

Not sure he has, others may have more gen than we do, all we know is some players aren’t loving the training.

the recent performances even before cardiff were very poor what is wrong ? they , the players should be playing for the thousands that follow them all over the country not acting like school children they are well paid get on with it as the supporters of Swansea football club deserve MUCH more than is being served up both on and off the field Only my opinion of course

Keith. If they are not enjoying the training ,then they ain’t be enjoying playing in games It’s my core point I see them detesting the way things are and as a result we see these gruesome performances . Could they man up? Yes Can they .Seems not William# is getting away with blue murder yet some think he’s sone a “ decent” job. Now,that cannot be proven . It’s just opinion .

I will be first to say I thought he was doing a decent job when everything was considered. This all changed with the WBA link, it has all fallen apart since then as far as supporters are concerned and looking at performances the players as well.

Your opinion is exactly how I see it. He was doing soooo well with the p!ss weak squad at his disposal but he goes a f@cks it up with his comments and his bending of the truth. Those few days have put us in free fall, at a vital time where we have owners who are prepared to invest in the team. If they are keeping him then something has to be done behind the scenes as the players are obviously not playing for him, a big meeting of the squad should take place where nothing should be left on the table, they need to get it sorted and quick as before you know it we will be battling in the relegation places with the scum.

I’ll be the second. Plenty can’t appreciate how difficult it is to get halfway through the season with next to nothing beyond the starting eleven. That’s before we consider the lack of creativity and the inexperience up front. That being said, it went off a cliff immediately after his imbecilic comments. We’ve been spanked by two of the weakest teams in the division. There is a clear line in the sand from when we went to a mid table team who would win as many as we lose and invariably compete, to the shell of a team we are at the moment.

I will third that, with the thin squad we had gone from being trounced by supposed better teams to being competitive but having said that we kept on being picked of at times, is that down to a weak squad or badly organised in a defensive formation, that lack or organisations has been thoroughly exposed as has our squad with the inability to cover injuries, and with the furore over William's comment it seems the chance of getting suitable needed players in has been squashed.
January Transfer Thread on 13:37 - Jan 20 with 1242 views | union_jack | My patience was wearing thin overall before WBA but I was open to being persuaded. I knew then that he was tactically weak and one directional and that he played the same way regardless of the opposition. These last few games have proved me right and there’s no way back for him as far as I’m concerned.

Thought much the same, although it was his comments about not being involved in the pre and half time team talk for QPR that set off alarm bells for me.

Can't get that midfield right to enable in Luke's word a successful "Transition" from defence to attack where he has said is our problem area lies.

I'll give him a clue. Pass the ball forward and do it quickly. It really is that simple.

I would add, after the pass forward make sure the passer is in a position to help the recipient of the pass especially if he has someone on his back. Movement when needed on and off the ball is essential, it seems at times that once the pass has been made the job has been done and players sit back and admire their handy work.
