It just goes to show how critical owning our own ground has been throughout the period of the wrong 'uns. In addition, we had the Morris clause to fall back onto, which certain of those willing to embrace certain wrong 'uns had no idea of. However the deal to acquire the stadium sits with some because of the Hornets deal, without it we would have probably disappeared by now.

The Ogdens are unlikely to be interested in any historical animosity between the two codes, although they might become interested if either club were to continue displaying hostility towards the other It's just an idea, but would it be worth the Dale Trust issuing a joint statement with Hornets (if they have a Trust, or if not, just with leading supporters) along the lines that the only way forward is mutual respect and a joint commitment to work together to the benefit of both clubs As you say, without both, the likelihood is that neither would now exist in their current form

Dale Trust met with the Hornets Trust recently and it was a very positive meeting. Andy Mazey sponsored our home game v Altrincham and Richard Knight reciprocated by doing sponsorship for the Hornets game v Workington, with 3 other Dale directors in attendance. With regards the discounted ticket offer for Dale season card holders, the standard admission for Hornets games is £17. The Cornwall game had an offer on of £10.
