I'll answer on behalf of everyone who hasn't got access to the pitch. We don't know. The last update was before the last postponed game, and it showed the pitch uncovered. The one before showed two very small rain covers which between them probably only protected 10-15% of the playing area. That's all we've had.
Surely ; given the awful weather we have had, someone at the club could take half an hour to update supporters? |

It's part of a general frustration that I have (thus, can only speak for myself) about not feeling wanted or appreciated by the Board.
It's not down to one or two instances; this has been rumbling on now for a year or so.
I could name many things that contribute to the way I feel, but those in the Boardroom (be they the ones who put a great deal of their own money in to save us, or the ones who have taken a seat on the Board in return for services given to the club) should take heed. Without the supporters; there is no club.
At a time when everyone should have a huge amount of goodwill towards the club and the Ogden investment...something remains of the old school "them and us" mentality of the past toxic Board.
And sadly, I feel that, as predicted, the Trust Board representative has flown too close to the sun and is no longer any use to the people whom he is supposed to represent. |

Provided we put the frost covers down yesterday, we should be ok for Saturday's game. Long term however, there's much to be done.
As Sandyman alludes; the previous work was carried out at huge expense under the watchful eye of a disgraced former CEO. Alongside most of the other work he oversaw; it's been nothing short of a shambles.
Let's hope he never ever gets to work in football again. |

Its another baffling decision by someone at the club. We deserve to know the thinking behind it. Surely the trust representative must know how unpopular this will be.
Weve Just had a really good away winning performance, and then this announcement. Its like snakes and ladders supporting Dale.
I can only conclude that the person coming up with these ideas just doesn't get it. |

Excellent post. There absolutely should be a full statement about today's postponement, and this should be coming directly from the Board, without the need for fan pressure on here or in other places.
As I currently see it, every single home game is seriously in doubt now as it really hasn't been too extreme weather-wise this last few days. we have had little or no frost, and several dry days.
It's shameful that we were the only game called off throughout the countries top 5 divisions and shameful that no apology /explanation has been forthcoming.
As others have said; they really do make it difficult to support the team we love at times. |

An excellent post, and illustrates much of why I get frustrated. A very welcome 3 points last night, but would we have won had they not had a player sent off? Although we were on the offensive I didn't feel like a goal was inevitable.
East was superb last night, although he aside, our other midfield players seem too willing to play a slow or sideways pass that reaches players with their backs to goal. It's then much harder to generate the necessary pace to beat a defender.
Defensively, we do look better than recent seasons, and much of this is down to us preventing crosses coming into our area. We are also much better at blocking shots than in recent years with several players willing to put themselves in the firing line.
On to Saturday now, and hoping for a real barnstorming attacking display that results in us ending a remarkable WLWL sequence in the league. |

An excellent run and cross finds Rodney unmarked in front of goal.
The referees blunder has completely changed the game. I'm delighted for us but I would be fuming if I were them. Could be fireworks at the final whistle. |

East and Barlow looking to be positive . Gilmour good at winning the ball, but his passing isn't quite there.
We have got to the byline a few times but crosses aren't beating the first man.
Mitchell looks short of the confidence he showed before his injury.
A couple of tactical changes and we can win this game. |

More powderpuff stuff with no end product today. It baffles me how our support is all over supposed fans of other teams pretending to be Dale fans, but they won't criticise the manager for being one dimensional against a bang average team.
Time for a managerial change...together with a few Directors. Its too much of a comfort zone.
Too many games have been awful to watch. |

Staggeringly poor judgement from the Board. Surely the Trust Director will have objected to this and informed Trust members of his stance?
It feels like CO is being (mis)guided by existing Board members. |

The money raised from the fundraising efforts was eventually donated to the club (in return for shares) following a Trust members vote several years after it became clear that Bowlee wasn't going to happen. The money was used to upgrade the floodlights and from memory, about 400 Trust members voted in favour of the money going to this cause with only 4 members voting against.
It was Keith Hill who vetoed the Bowlee plan, after several site visits when he was very much in favour of it going ahead. The Council spent a huge sum of money upgrading the chosen pitches and installing a high secure fence around the area, only for Hill to change his mind about the project.
One the walk itself ; it had been fine weather for at least a couple of weeks leading up to the day, only for it to rain nonstop on the actual day of the walk. Over 100 walkers took part in what was probably the biggest ever single fundraising event in the clubs history. When we arrived at the ground, there was a real possibility that the game might be off due to the rain, but fortunately it went ahead. |

Hanging on here. Our defensive clearances are so poor...and our keeper could have easily gifted them two goals in the second half. But by the same token, we have defended well and he's made several good saves.
In all honesty, we have not created much at all but Gateshead haven't been direct enough. Some tremendous shithousery from Waller in injury time. We would be going potty if we were on the receiving end. |

Can the ten men hold on after being gifted an own goal. Hope Jim doesn't go too defensive. |
