Well, we can always change the manager again in a few months time, if he isn't up to scratch. Meanwhile the owners and board continue on. We march on together. |

Wolves beat Man U. Everton got a point at Man City. If Leicester win at Anfield, we will be relegated by new years day. [Post edited 26 Dec 20:40]

Leicester Ipswich Saints All three promoted clubs went straight back down last season. Looks like it could happen again and definitely looks like Saints and Ipswich heading back down. Today, Saints gave everything, but every team we play is just too good. |

I would keep Tall Paul in the team. He runs, causes chaos, holds the ball up, gives his all and I enjoyed his performance for effort alone. But he isn't a Salah, an Ings, a Mane or what you would call a top PL striker. Neither is Armstrong and neither is Dibling. They just don't match the quality we are facing every week. Bowen was the difference today. Such fine margins, but it's on the board again foe not getting in the real quality we need. |

That's always been the problem. It doesn't matter what the tactics are or how we play, if you keep missing chances you don't win. And no manager can solve that. The owners and board should spend 40 million on striker instead paying off various managers. What can the manager do if the players arnt good enough and.miss easy chances? |

Things were more aggressive today and we had more chances and shots. I enjoyed the performance more. But you're right, we still lost. Tall Paul was a real menace up front.but he missed sitters. Dibling also missed from 5 yards and it ended up in the stands. The recruitment has been terrible. Our players gave their all today, but people.need to.understand that we aren't good enough. We don't ha e a match winner like a Bowen, an Ings or whoever. |

I like him. Genuine, passionate, determined. "I don't like golf. I am an aggressive person". Best response of a manager I have heard in a long time. |

It does seem like an impossible task, but if we were to get 9 points from the next 3 games (West Ham, Palace, Brentford), which is unlikely, but a possibility, we could have a look again and perhaps think we are back in the race. |

Sugawara isn't doing much for me. He is a luxury we can't afford. Wood and Bree are both aggressive and tough battling and helped us to a result yesterday. If we play a 5, should be able to get Walker Peters in the team. [Post edited 23 Dec 12:53]

| Forum Thread | 5 things about Fulham at 11:11 23 Dec 2024
1) A "lovely" walk to the ground, next to the river, through parks and trees, from Putney Bridge tube station. 2) Can anyone remember a concourse, where home and away fans mix? Fulham fans have to be the most timid, friendly fans in the league. 3) It was so refreshing to be able to watch a football game. It was nil nil, but great to see Saints battling, tackling, pressing, clearing our lines and fighting for points. 4) The Saints fans are back. Loud and proud backing of the team throughout the game. 5) The ref was indeed a cvunt. [Post edited 23 Dec 11:12]

He is a breath of fresh air in my opinion. An experienced "boss". His experience at Roma, one of the world's biggest clubs, will just make him stronger. He is direct, to the point and has it spot on when he says we need to be more aggressive, quicker and more pressing. I am mildly optimistic. Welcome to SFC Ivan. |

First impressions are good. I like what I hear. He looks and sounds like a "boss". Indeed, welcome to SFC. |
| Forum Reply | New manager at 10:33 21 Dec 2024
The more I read about him, the more he is growing on me. He is a tough guy, he has managed some of the world's best players at Roma, he has managed in Italy's top league, despite a few sackings, he has been successful at many of his clubs, he has a reputation for having a resolute defence, his teams are aggressive, he's a character and doesn't take any sh!t. We have nothing to lose, we are effectively down. Much rather him than a championship dreamer with no experience of managing top players. Last thing we need is a nervous wreck, thrown in at the deep end (Nathan Jones type). By all accounts Juric is a tough, no sh!t kind of guy, could be just what we need, right? He might be a good appointment and whip them into shape. Let's see how he does. [Post edited 21 Dec 10:37]

I really hope it's not him. Where is the logic in sacking the manager who beat Corberan 3 times last season to replace with him? And WBA are boring to watch. It's Danny Rohl or Moyes for me. [Post edited 19 Dec 21:37]

I would be happy with Moyes, especially until the end of the season with a big bonus for keeping us up. Vastly experienced manager. His odds have dropped dramatically this afternoon. |

And yet not one chant of Sport Republic Out. The mistakes just keep on coming if true. Very underwhelming if true. West Brom are boring boring to watch. RM beat Corberan 3 times last season. [Post edited 19 Dec 17:45]
