| News Comment | Southampton V Swansea City The FA Cup Preview at 13:17:11
I am sat at home in the warm wondering why the hell I bought my ticket for this game I watched Ivans press conference which did nothing to raise my enthusiasm for it At least RM could do that I feel really let down by someone but I don't know who |
| News Comment | Dom Ballard Recalled To Southampton From Loan Spell But Not Striking Answer at 13:37:01
Bruce is a yesterdays man and is probably out of touch with youngsters needs and training methods Dom is a real natural goalscorer and as such should have been thrown at the deep end before going to Reading. Next year we will be in the Championship Subject to the medics agreeing give him some experience in the PL to prepare him for a couple of years in the EFL |
| News Comment | Southampton Set To Keep Chelsea Loan Signing at 11:29:00
One man's meat is another man's poison they say Hopefully captain Jack will go the other way Big Les did have a tendency to give the ball away with miss directed passes or by getting caught in possession Perrhaps playing hoof ball will suit him but he will want out when we get relegated See Dom Ballard is back in the fold Why not give the lad a chance in the PL to prepare him for the championship or if he scores a couple his value trebles |
| News Comment | Shea Charles On The Radar Of 3 Top Flight Clubs at 15:36:49
RM didn't necessarily dump him but maybe wanted him to have game time and gain some experience Also according to our illustrious press Edwards was going to Wednesday.........until he went to QPR |
| News Comment | Do Southampton Cut Their Losses Now On This Season And Cash In On Kyle Walker Peters at 16:09:46
The stated intention of SR is to buy young players, develop them and sell them on at a profit. Can they do that from the Championship? Can they do that as a yo yo team ? I believe that in both cases they can. I therefore expect THB,Fernandez and Dibling to be sold when we go down Their combined fees plus the PL money keeps us going without any further monetary input We have already got the replacements and will be able to field a competitive side next season so I am sure that IF any club offers a reasonable fee for KWP he will go now |
| News Comment | Bella-Kotchap Speaks About Southampton Future at 11:58:07
Bankers spot on I remember a go stop transfer near the end of the window I was actually glad he didn't go because I think he is a good player and certainly a better cb than J S Reads the game and is quick to intercept The one thing I am hoping for from Ivan is that JS is cast into the wilderness |
| News Comment | Who Had Heard Of Pochettino ! As Saints Fans Question New Manager's Credentials at 14:05:21
MoPo was going to Saints training at Staplewood for a couple of months supposedly as an observer before he was appointed He then stabbed St Nigle in the back At the end of his full season here he said he was not going to another club but was going to have a break That was until he was told he had to pay up his contract Horrible person but he coached in what was a modern way at the time But he never had a plan B I will give this give guy some time but more in hope than anticipation Just hope he isn't a Croation Nathan and that he can connect with the fans |
| News Comment | Southampton V Liverpool The Carabao Cup Verdict at 11:11:08
This really was a game of two halves In the first the players looked dejected and lost Tyler looked like he didn't want to be anywhere near the pitch The ironic cheers for a couple of long clearances where soon silenced when the ball came straight back at the defence Our possession stat was less than 25% and we were rubbish at best Had they had the likes of salah etc playing it would have been worse than the Spurs game In the second half we appeared to have a different mentality and we tried to play the possession game It was helped when they brought on a couple more youngsters that allowed us to dominate the play We generally looked like a team playing without a plan and without a leader With the side they put out I wonder if RM and his staff had still been here would be have won ? Who knows |
| News Comment | Yorkshire Media Claim That Sheffield Wednesday Battling To Keep Danny Rohl at 12:26:40
Of all the names mentioned Rohl is the one I would choose Yong, ambitious and with a reasonable amount of experience One not mentioned is FC Bodo Glint manager Knutsen Perhaps he is the mystery foreigner With all clubs facing a busy schedule of games it will be difficult to get anyone still on a contract |
| News Comment | Southampton In Negotiations With Club For Manager Release at 13:46:29
2 negative posts before it's anywhere near a done deal I pity whoever gets it with a fan base like ours I would welcome Rohl He has a good track record as an assistant to Ralph,in the Bundesliga and at international level Niether he or anyone else has a chance to save us this year so let him build a squad and team ready for 25/26 |
| News Comment | Southampton FC Sack Russell Martin at 10:31:49
So who next ? For me Rohl or Knutsen Neither has Pl experience but that level of coach isn't going to come here Whoever it is will be gettinging slaggeded off by the ball watching fans on here within a few mayches |
