Its slower than the Wife making me a cuppa. Cracking header by Cullen pity it wasn't on target, but he can't head the ball apparently, he's scared or somin

We kept pushing until the end and IMO were the better team. We lost by a mistake and they should have been down to 10 early on. Onwards we go to Saturday, we probably won't get anything against a top team but we are a lot better than we were.

Watford v Swansea City : Match day thread on 21:59 - Mar 12 with 1037 views | union_jack | The commentator said what I was thinking and that was we were trying too hard sometimes, we couldn’t live with the added pace we put into the game. Conversely, we weren’t quick enough sometimes. It wasn’t a bad performance overall. We showed lots of energy but in all honesty, the quality isn’t there. How many times did the keeper have to make a save? Watford were the masters of game management. Dirty tricks by feigning injury but very effective. Took the wind totally out of our sails. Lastly, if the situation was reversed would we have scored that goal? I don’t think we would have done.

we probably wouldn't have Why did Sheehan bring on Fulton for Franco...I understand when has to defend our lead but tonight we needed Allen or Cooper ..... And folks are calling for Sheehan to get the full time gig

How that dirty clown Louza stayed on the pitch is a mystery, think he might have gone if Cullen and their player hadn't started dancing as it give the ref a way out from making a decision.

It’s a mystery tbh. As far as the game is concerned, I agree that 0-0 would have been the right result tonight as neither side created much in terms if real chances. I missed the first 15 mins but the only save I saw was Vig’s towards the end.

I would like to see Sheehan be named interim for the balance of the season. Just a longer look to see if over next 9 games that he has what most are looking for. The players seem to be playing better. Plus, his post-game interviews are coherent and much better than LW's!

Franco has had plenty of good moments, but there have also been times when he has conceded possession in dangerous situations. The mistake that cost us this game isn't the first one he has made but luckily no goal came. Franco needs to work on improving his concentration in his own half..
Watford v Swansea City : Match day thread on 06:47 - Mar 13 with 332 views | RichardO | Thought generally it was a hard fought game that for the most part went as you would expect the game to go home team presses forward early on and the Swans had to fight to get into the game which they did, only for the mistake to be made, Franco got pressurised and played the "safe" ball but we again were out of shape and in no position to cover, that element of defensive cautioun you'd expect away from home was gone and Tymon was off down the wing and we were out numbered at the back. Very poor by Franco but we did leave ourselves exposed but then again at times so did Watford they made poor mistakes which we should have capitalised, we missed that quick incisive controlled play a number of times we broke play up on the halfway line but didn't pick the right options in our attacks or made poor passes, it seemed to me that the first and best options were missed allowing Watford to regain their defensive shape. On another day the right option would have been taken. As they dropped deeper we struggled to get through the middle of the park doing well to get down the wings and whip good balls in and were unlucky not to get on the end of them but we had no one to get in-between their lines of defence the centre forward got isolated. It was already been mentioned about the folly of bringing on the more defensive minded Fulton instead of Allen or Cooper but I wonder if Ginnelly would have been better to play that number ten role and let Parker play out wide and leaving Franco on and take Cullen off instead. Sometimes our wingers end up being redundant stuck out on the wings and our fullbacks could easily provide the threat down the wings and the wingers looking to play more infield which could cause more problems in a densely packed defence. It was noticeable that in the last ten minutes O'Brien's tank seemed empty and he got caught on the ball a number of times. It would appear that Sheehan needs to look at his substitutions when attacking options are needed or even his first eleven given the injuries and players returning to full fitness. What was that late substitution all about at that late in the game? You could say we missed Pearl-Harris today and maybe Darling although Delacroix looks an able replacement. Sheehan has some work to do.

Yes I did say on another day the right option would have been taken, we made half chances yesterday not that many clear chances, I didn't get the stream until 10mins in and didn't see Vipotnik's early chance which the Watford commentary team made reference to later so can't comment on that but did we have that many clear chances we made put Watford under a lot of pressure a lot more than we have against other teams this season but did we take the right options? Mistakes are often forced on teams did we take advantage of their mistakes in a clinical manner? The answer is no. Against Millwall in the last minute of a game trying to win a game may be excusable but they are not acceptable games swing often on individual mistakes as yesterday's game did. We move on and I think we will give Burnley problems and I hope Sheehan can get the result we wish for with his better set up than we have seen in the last few of years and hopefully he has gained enough experience to carry on doing so until the end of the season. Teams will look at the way he has set up his team and will try and work out how to beat us, one size doesn't fit all tweaks have to be made hope Sheehan can do it to our advantage.

I have no strong feelings either way about Sheehan being made permanent. I raised the comment as many fans were calling for him to be given the full time job on the basis of the results from his first two games. I have enjoyed the football he has us playing it has gotbus much needed points but his substitutions are often like for like which others have been slated for or like last night baffling in bringnon the defensive Fulton rather than the likes of Cooper or Allen when we were causing the game and them the 89th minute bringing on of Cooper. Sheehan needs more time to prove himself and we also see how he copes with a blip which every team and manager gets
