Brilliant goals put the gloss on a solid performance. We attack one of three ways: using trickery on the wings, esp Albert, passing around the opposition half until an opening appears or the quick break to catch an exposed defence. When we play well we can shift between these modes and openings or semi-openings eventually appear in the other team's penalty area. We then convert one in four or five of those opportunities. (Rough guess)

I'm not taking about clear cut chances, but intelligent balls into the area to try and create or use space. Our front players are good enough (usually) to convert one or two of these opportunities or semi-opportunities. The second half was a good example of this. We kept moving the ball, probing, unbalancing the Derby defence until the chances came. And then we buried two of them in glorious fashion.

One final thought, Ilias needs to practice his heading. I know it's an odd idea for the shortest player in the Championship but last night he had two heading chances and missed with both, although of course the second didn't matter.

Really good team performance, we passed the ball so well, always looked much more dangerous and really limited Derby to a couple of efforts can hardly remember a Seny save. Well done MW and the team.

Willock and Chair are becoming an excellent pair, let’s hope we can keep hold for them this season must be starting to attract interest from elsewhere.
