Sheffield United Interested In Southampton Striker
Tuesday, 30th Jan 2024 09:01

As the transfer window heads into its last 60 hours comes the news that Sheffield United may be calling St Mary's about a striker, but it is not the obvious candidate that you would think !

The news from Yorkshire is that Sheffield United are interested in taking Sekou Mara to Bramall Lane, footballleagueworld.co.uk are carrying the story and claim that there are several clubs interested in taking Sekou Mara on loan for the rest of the season and that the Blades are one of them.

The article goes on to say that at the moment at least Saints aren't interested in letting Mara go and are looking to keep the squad together in this window.

It seems that although some Saints fans can't see the benefit of having a big squad and the ability to bring on experienced fresh legs in the closing stages of a game, Russell Martin can and unless Saints are able to bring in a replacement for Mara, they will not let him go.

Could be a good move for him but we must be sure Che is staying OR we are getting a replacement CV

needed to go out on loan at championship level last year , would have developed and toughened up a bit more like tella a bit playing more cant just play 10 minutes each week and expect to develop. He has stagnated while at saints

Very talented player who’s only doing ok for us , he’s excellent awareness around him in tight positions

Why would he go when they are likely to pass us going up. Have more concern is the rumour that Alcaraz might be tempted to Forest. Both players would be good to hold onto if we secure promotion.
