Refwatch: Rochdale v Northampton Town Monday, 23rd Nov 2020 15:00 by TVOS The familiar figure of Andy Haines will referee Dale’s home clash against Northampton Town on Tuesday. Mr Haines will be taking take charge of his 32nd Dale match and the 30th at Spotland, which we are confident is a record for the club by a considerable distance. We last saw Andy on Boxing Day 11 months ago when he refereed Dale’s 3-2 home defeat to Fleetwood. He had also been at Spotland earlier last term for the 5-2 win over Bolton in the Carabao Cup. Further back in time — and hopefully an omen for Tuesday — Mr Haines’ most notable Dale game came on 17th April 2010 when we clinched promotion from League Two with a 1-0 victory over Northampton. The full list of Andy’s Dale matches is: Sep 07 Rochdale v Macclesfield D 1-1 Before the weekend, when he was appointed to Accrington v Lincoln, Andy had refereed 11 matches this season, in which he showed 28 yellow cards and one red.
