Saints Change Kit Supplier For Next Season Saturday, 30th Jan 2016 10:03 As was predicted on this website several weeks ago, it is looking like Saints will be ending their deal with Adidas at the end of the season and changing kit suppliers. New kit manufacturer as foretold by the Ugly will be American kit manufacturer Under Armour according to the Daily Echo. Some Saints fans will be disappointed in that Adidas are an iconic brand, the three stripes have enhanced the range of training kit and polo tops etc and made them something stylish to wear rather than just a top with a badge on. But now that deal has come to an end and Saints have reportably signed up with Under Armour who have a big reputation in the United States as well as a growing reputation in this country although their profile in English football has been limited with just Tottenham Hotspur currently wearing their kit in the Premier League in a deal they have had since 2011. That deal was touted as being worth £50 million and whilst Saints are unlikely to command the same big fee's as Spurs would, it will certainly be a massive improvement on the deals signed in the past 5-6 years. It will be a significant move for Saints, not only for the increased finance but for the fact that it will up their profile in the USA and around the World, Under Armour are planning to significantly increase their share of the football kit market not only in the UK but globally and Saints will be seen by the company as a flagship partnership. Saints are increasing their profile in our former colony and have already announced initiatives there involving coaching, this deal will add to that further and it would not be a surprise if Saints like other English club spend part of pre season in America including some friendly games. Under Armour was started as recently as 1996 and has grown rapidly especially in the last decade and is now said to be the second biggest brand in the States after Nike Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
