Rodgers: Kemy May Play At The Back Tuesday, 23rd Nov 2010 07:33 Brendan Rodgers is considering using Kemy Augustien as centre back on Friday night The Swansea City manager is hopeful that he will welcome back captain Garry Monk for the visit of Portsmouth on Friday night but Kemy may be the man to step into the breach if that does not happen. Rodgers told the Western Mail "Kemy can step in there, the Dutch play that way at times where their second centre-half is a midfield player. “They understand how to step in and play the ball. “I’ve mentioned it to Kemy before if he is comfortable playing in there. “That’s a risk you take sometimes to get something from the game, if not win the game. “The players have shown they have that mental courage to adapt. “I would have no qualms about putting Kemy in there from the start, as he showed in his little cameo there that he’s comfortable enough, especially at home where we’re going to dominate the game. “We’re hopeful Garry might be back for next Friday. “He’s making good progress and we’ll see how he goes the remainder of this week.” Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
