Duke newcomer for Dale
Duke newcomer for Dale
Monday, 18th Jul 2011 20:42 by Col

Keeper Matt Duke will take his place between the sticks for Dale on Tuesday night in the friendly game against Leeds United after joining us on trial.

Duke comes to the club having recently been released by Hull City. The 6'5 stopper spent seven years with the Tigers, mainly as back up. Whilst with them, he played a number of games in the Premiership.

He recently had a spell on trial with his hometown club Sheffield United, and there had been talk over the weekend of a switch to Rotherham United.

But with Mark Howard off to Bradford, it would seem the ball is firmly in Duke's court and if he impresses against Leeds on Tuesday, he could become Steve Eyre's latest signing.

Genius headline Col, although I am a little disappointed that you didn't photoshop his pic by giving him a bleach blonde hairstyle, some shades and a big wack-off gun!
