Love the bit about Parish proving that he was at the hairdresser's, not the training ground - that would be right! |

The farce that just keeps on giving. Looks like they are closing in on him. This must be a good thing. Surely. |

This thread is a public health service to allow you to express your inner feelings about this magnificent achievement. Personally I just feel numbed by this season to the extent that I find myself just not particularly caring (that much). |

Best post I've read in ages. Thanks. Your comment that his feelings mirrored yours was exactly what I was thinking. I love the way your son's perceptions are so clear. He clearly is an very bright lad. Hope he enjoys his next trip a little more. |

And to you Finney. You don't know me but I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done for QPR this year. Merry Christmas |
| Forum Reply | Esteban Granero: David Moyes can take Real Sociedad to Champions League at 11:54 19 Dec 2014
"Intelligent, analytical, a Real Madrid youth teamer and an English speaker who played in the Premier League, he understands the new manager both linguistically and conceptually." I think what this means is that Granero has worked out that Moyes is an imbecile. |
| Forum Reply | Parking Charge Notice? ADVICE REQUIRED PLEASE! at 10:44 24 Nov 2014
My experience was overstaying in a Sainsburys. I chose to ignore totally resolving to pay the fine plus costs if they actually took me to the county court. I was working on the assumption that in most cases unless you are a multiple infringer who owes them thousands in fines they would not bother to pursue it to court. In my case I was right. This was Euro Parking. Also, remember that in many cases the debt recovery company sending threatening letters is just another department of the parking firm. It's all smoke and mirrors. I would estimate that in total I was written to about 12 times. Hold your nerve if you go down this route. Until they actually serve papers on you it's all bluster. If you get a county court papers served on you then do not ignore as you will end up with real bailiffs after you with actual legal rights. So if it gets this far just accept that you have lost! Hope this helps. |

Where does this stuff come from? I can't believe the comms team ring up a journalist and say "we want CA to sign a new contract and we're thinking of offering him 50k. The journalist hasn't even bothered with an ambiguous 'Loftus road insider' or 'the evening standard understands' I would bet that this is simply completely made up. |

I'm convinced the key to our survival is a good Jan transfer window. And by that I mean we buy no more than one player. Early. |

Bet Newcastle try to get him on the cheap (ie for the 'top 4 release clause price). Will be interesting to see the reaction from the board. I'm guessing we need him off the books to buy 2 x replacements. Therefore a cheaky Newcastle bid might just work. [Post edited 31 Jul 2014 16:35]

Good post. I think that there is an inevitable direction / destination for football which will be reached before any overall financial implosion. But that's not to say that many clubs won't go the wall over this transition... Looking through my crystal ball I believe that a European league will be formed, hopefully, for the future of football, with relegation and promotion. So 4 or 5 English clubs will get to play in the Euro league full time. If a team finished in the bottom 3 or whatever in the Euro league then they will be replaced with the highest placed team from their home country. In the UK (whatever the outcome of the Scottish independence referendum) we will form. A Bristish league and the Scotish teams will find their natural position amongst the English, Welsh, and Irish clubs. In other words, it is inevitable that the game will get bigger before it contracts. the top teams will be removed from domestic league competition allowing them to do what they really want to do, play in Europe against he top teams. This will allow room for a true national competition to emerge in each country that has a genuinely unforseeable outcome / champion. The vast majority of league clubs in every European country will miss the absence of the mega teams, but will be invigorated by a more realistic competition, yet still have the dream of making it big through accessing the mega league. I'd be happy with this to be honest. Interested in your views. |

That sums it up. Thank God! I'm glad someone has summed it up in a quick post. We can bump John's post every time this gets mentioned. |

.... Which is exactly what I would release if I had an overpaid player I was looking to move on who had a fitness question mark over him. Just saying like. |
