Kel, The Fenix Trophy is a UEFA sanctioned European tournament for semi professional teams , the semis and final take place after the regular season its a knock out tournament with home and away legs up to that point.

About 12 countries take part looks like 16 clubs in total, the email from July says its subject to league approval but heard nowt since, no mention of phoenix clubs but i get what you mean Fcum are in it.

Bury is a boom town your town needs concreting over and made into an overspill car park for The Rock!

look at the amenities, facilities and leisure in Bury and look at yours.

'football fans up and down the country' are right behind us its the fans up n down the road that have an issue..no surprise really tho is it im sure u prefer Scottish black puddings to Bury ones (Hi Col) ..

1995 - Bury 0 Blyth Spartans 2 FA Cup 1st round.. attendance3k+ do remember it.. we never did well in cups my first away game 1990 Chorley 1st round FA cup lost 2-1 with one of the best Bury sides ever (Sam Ellis manager)

lets go back further..the football authorities are a disgrace for not doing there diligence checks on the last 2 owners never mind allowing a merger.

i agree it feels like a phoenix club but its not really an issue end of the day a club called Bury FC is playing at Gigg Lane thats all that matters really.

btw, the two clubs MERGED no new club as such.

looking at one of last years programmes the honours list includes AFC's league championship 2021-22 along with the historical stuff.

OUCH! bit too soon to be playing our pals i think but this must be the first ever competitive game between us, a nice scarborough or macc away draw would have been more suitable (we are always away) but it is what it is.

wonder if it gets switched to Gigg for the extra dough?? still never been to their ground.

totally agree and im all for it but my point was i remember a rukus on here about 2011? when it was written something like 'even mcdonalds have pulled out of the town' when they had only closed one branch there were several others still in your flea pit town and probably still there now.

rewind about 10+ years you were touted as a poor mans mark hodkinson on here and falsely claiming mcdonalds had pulled out of your town in a passage you wrote... but i hear they re opening that very branch they closed you refer too....or near enough.
