Great following yesterday at Sheffield, cant believe their stands were so empty considering a relatively local Derby. It was nerve-racking for us at times but i ask...what was the 6 minute extra time all about? I couldn’t remember anything that could add up even close to that...plus you just don’t hear of 6 blumming minutes added on...summit dirty going on there i reckon. Anyway 1-0 to the Super Rams... Av-It! |
| Forum Thread | Clough Must Stay at 13:43 13 Feb 2011
I dont like the lone striker formation, it seems that Nigel Clough is the only one who thinks it works for us. I dont particularly like the team selection either, playng certain players in preference to some others who are clearly more talented in our limited squad. But having said that, i dont like hearing supporters calling for Cloughs head by assuming that another 'hands tied' manager will do any better in the time remaining this season. I feel its too late for that now, the time it would take for a new face to get to know the squad, to get them to learn his ways, to gain his confidence and, the list goes on. I will add this, no manager of any standing would come to Derby with the limitations that are in place so we would be NO better off. The second half against Leicester using a different formation got Pride Park buzzing again. It sounds to me from Nigels post match radio interview that AT LAST, the management might have just accepted and understood their errors. I know its gone on a long time and we as supporters are fed up watching this poor show but, lets see the changes that are definitely now pending on the field and...lets support the blumming team and get Pride Park buzzing again!" |
| Forum Thread | Whats the crack with Shefki at 17:02 21 Nov 2010
I personally would love to see Nigel Clough sign Shefki Kuqi for so many reasons. I remember when he came here in a Palace shirt and it quickly came to my attention what a bully he was around the box and, drawing defenders to him thus releasing other forwards and... he does just that for us in addition to his scoring the odd goal too. Basically he is a noted presence on the field and, even though he plays in a different position, he is already is finding a following at Derby not unlike the great Igor Stimac with the special cheers he gets on the field. But when i ask, 'Whats the crack'? with him, its because Palace couldnt wait to let him go, he signs for Swansea who already let him out on loan and, here he is with the Super Rams, playing well, yet starting to find himself on the bench. Note the roar from the fans when he came on late against Scunny, and his instant presence to boot. Maybe someone has the answer? |
