| News Comment | And for my next trick – Fans Forum at 17:15:12
With CN, you're always going to get a helping of management consultancy speak. However it does seem that we are professionalising the club in lots of little ways. |
| News Comment | Who are you, what are you doing here? – Preview at 21:29:56
The first half of that preview was one of your best. Laugh out loud funny. Then you ruined it by writing about football to come. Good luck to the 600+ travelling to Blackburn. Again. |
| News Comment | Preston/Sheff Wed/Ipswich – Awaydays at 18:57:11
There's a friend of ours who tells barely believable, comic stories about his Sheffield ancestors, usually leading to the audience clutching their sides from laughter or falling off the chairs in disbelief. Clive - you just top trumped anything he could come up with. |
| News Comment | Stop me if you've heard any of this before - Report at 11:03:45
We've been looking for 3 tams worse than us. Well, we've just played one of them. And still ma,aged to lose, or throw it away in first 15 minutes. What is going on with Willock. If he can't get in ahead of Adomah or come off the bench ahead of Smyth and Dixon-Bonner, he can't have any sort of future under GA. |
| News Comment | Each goal more farcical and easier to score than the last - Report at 11:21:27
It was a day when none of the so called senior players did themselves justice. Couple that with a set up that left huge gaps between defence/midfield and midfield/attack. All against a side that were fluid and quick. Managers cannot legislate for so many having an off day, but the setup was down to Ainsworth. You almost feel sorry for Larkeche, asked to make his full debut at RB, when almost totally left footed. And for Armstrong, completely isolated. God knows where we go from here. |
| News Comment | Savage amusement - Report at 22:33:43
If the crowd can see what's going on, and judging by the jeering for every delayed goal kick, they can, with all the time wasting, why can't the referee. If Nicholls had been cautioned on 50 minutes, like he should have been, he'd have saved himself a shed load of pointless gestures. |
| News Comment | A different kind of nil nil - Report at 20:42:53
I know time wasting and failure of referees to address time added on are betes noires and, in that respect, Donohue was no better/worse than many others. I've only seen the penalty incident once, just like the ref, but it didn't look like a penalty to me. Opinions, eh? I'd like to see it again. |
| News Comment | Fair enough? — Preview at 14:08:47
Who pays 16m for a LB? Not many PL teams unless said defender is exceptional. The deal is clearly as dodgy as fck, but what can the authorities do about it. See also Forest-Olympiakos. |
| News Comment | QPR bolster attack on a budget with Roberts loan — Signing at 18:53:01
He meets the profile of recent signings. He's fairly young, had injuries, but can be developed into a better player. Add 60 PL appearances and it's fair to say he's just about the best we can afford. Against is the injury record and a less than overwhelming scoring record. Let's hope Beale can live up to his reputation and turn this pig's ear into a silk purse. If he does that and we manage to get promoted, nobody will begrudge the £4m fee to make the deal permanent. |
| News Comment | Analytics' fav Paal caps busy weekend for Rangers — Signing at 09:40:25
2 signings , both free transfers. 24 yo players who can develop, potential sell on value, keen to play for QPR (they all have to say that in video interviews), known by the manager. On the surface there doesn't seem a lot wrong with either signing. If it is influenced by Andy Belk and the recruitment analysts, another plus. We wont get everything right but these 2 offer a better chance than.most. Especially when replacing Wallace and Barbet. IMHO, we still need a RB and a striker, but this is a good start. |
| News Comment | QPR wilt in the face of late Forest fire - Report at 20:50:30
3 things all led to major changes in momentum. Willock was causing all sorts of problems, until they fouled him out of the game. Spence's strike came out of the blue but lifted the morale of the Forest players and fans Subbing Dozzell with Either JoJo or Hendrick was OK. Experience could have taken the sting out of the Forest revival. But not both. Ultimately we were deservedly beaten by a younger, fitter, quicker team playing with confidence, The lack of pace in this current QPR side is well known and something that needs to be addressed if we are to progress. |
| News Comment | Chair's goal coughs QPR back into life - Report at 14:22:52
I didn't think the ref was too bad but let down by the other 3. I'm assuming he didn't see Forss kick Jimmy Dunne. Too many offsides and line decisions were pure guesswork. But that's the ARs' realm |
| News Comment | That Lloyd Doyley match report again — Report at 09:41:44
Absolutely dreadful performance. Apart from last 15 minutes of first half when Chair started finding pockets of space and Hendrick got up in support. 2nd half completely overrun in midfield. I struggle to understand why Gray started in 2 up top, and why his replacement was another striker. It was crying out for Amos' energy. Hard to think of anybody who had a half decent performance. |
