Just read in the local news that there is to be a circus there in the weeks leading up to Xmas. Last time this happened, oh some years ago now, I was driving past one day when some clown pulled right out in front of me.
Rivercourt Rd which runs between King St and the A4 Hammersmith, is now a residents only road with cameras, so fines will issued to anyone else driving along it. It was a popular cut-through to avoid the broadway, so I guess a bit of a 'mare for the residents.

As we approach another cock's-crow kick off time, as I mulled over my ale, it occured to me that if all this is a “success”, ie increased subs and ad revenue for Sky, we could be looking back at this season as the good old days when we still had some Sat 3pm kick offs. I'm an ex pipe and cigar smoker but jacked it in when Tony Blair banned smoking in pubs. Now talk of banning it in pub gardens. I know it's a health risk but so are many things. Smoking outside won't have a deleterious effect on other peoples' health and the pub trade has problems aplenty - any thoughts ?
