We have no attacking full backs at the moment. Fox and Shaw were not what I would call attacking full backs either. It was always one sided until Betrand and Clyne played. Is there no- one with pace at the academy? |
| News Comment | Did Pelle Have His Best Ever Saints Game Against United at 18:48:48
He is a good target man but the team could do him more justice if they got closer to him when he nods the ball on. IMO that game was a mental test once the back pass was put away and that was a completely different Saints team in the 2nd half. They have the physical and technical ability but RK cannot influence them once they are in the pitch. Just look at Saints when it get to 2-3, I wish that happened 10 mins earlier as Manure were on the back foot. They were 100% beatible and forget the past, its the present and future that counts. |

I think we are 7 points ahead as i have always regarded superior goal differnce being an extra point when it comes down to the wire. Could it not now be a psychological issue as much as a tactical one? |

I dont blame anyone for running the numbers game but there are to many elements to account for and thr end results hiven are simplistic. as hss just been said, play one game a time as this is what the other clubs are doing. Just do your own jobs and the end result will be inevitable. |
| News Comment | Danny Seaborne Returns To Staplewood On Monday at 06:29:48
its gonna be about confidence as well as fitness. he wont be the same player as he was before but he can still do the job given time. if its next season then all well and good but dont rush him back to early and knock him back another 6 months. do the right thing by him as well as the club. |
| News Comment | Saints V Leicester The Verdict at 15:15:01
All of these players know how to play the game. so one or two are playing out of position or are injured but this was not the problem. From playing/coaching experience (ok not professionally) it would have been difficult to up the tempo once the game was lost inside their heads. I didnt see any hard tackles go in by dsints to stamp their home advantage within the first few minutes. It seemed like we were the away team. There was a lack of leadership on the pitch and no-one took the bull by the horns. Positives are hard to come up with for the game but the return of key players in the near future must be one? I thought i had misheard booing but thinking back maybe not. Will this have negative/ |

Ok its a stop gap until Chappers is back. Let him try and prove his worth in the meantime. ALL that matters are winning games with the players we have registered. Can it get any worse? |
| News Comment | Puncheon Is Back at 14:05:46
It gotta be a win-win situation surely. We pay his wages so why not usehim and if he scores goals then its good. If he's rubbish then we have proved a point. He has talked the talk so give him a few games to see if walks the walk. End of season the decision will be made by all i am sure. |

Good overall performance without the usual key players. Maybe its time to play them a bit more than they have been this season? As i have said and others at SMS... SHOOT !!! The stats of 17 taken and 10 on target shows what we can do. Yes its against 10 men but still this should be taken onto the next game as confidence can only grow from here. 61 percent for possession was again good (against 10 men) but this is one of our strengths that has not been forsaken during the blip we had and which all teams go through. COYR. |

The other good thing would be that he is an unknown quantity and may bring something different that will freshen up the attack. The opposition will take time to work him out and that may in turn give Lambert (when he returns) a new lease of life. |
| News Comment | In Nigel We Trust at 14:55:08
No team is perfect and because we win more than we lose its a bit gutting when we do lose. This is what fans of bigger clubs feel like. I dont mind feelimg like that as its better than going to game feeling we are on a hiding to nothing. NA and the team have done what hasnt been done for a while. What will be will be. Trust is very important for all. |

I agree 100% with Chaplow being missed as I regard him as a Dirk Kuyt type of player that runs and runs and gets under the skin of the opposition. We need someone to do the same. |

These players are professionals and I am sure that they have played with 10 men before so do you think they are to dependant on Lambert as the talisman of the team? Over the season I have seen a change in performance whereby they are'afraid' to take a shot on goal and trying to walk the ball into the net. The team seem to rely on the backpost nod from Lambert but now we are not winning the 2nd phase ball as in earlier games. Teams have now cottoned onto the winning formula and know how to neutralise this and there is no Plan B. Is it only me that wants to get on the pitch and kick the ball towards goal from outside the box? You dont become a rubbish team overnight and Saints are not one of those teams because the passing of the ball is as good as some higher league clubs but its the final third that is the problem. A team has more confidence when they are scoring goals(obvious point)so I hope that Lambert does not get injured and Nigel can motivate them as he must have done at the start of the season. Here endeth the lecture ;-) |
